How Cute is My Husband on Injectible Test!!!

However the anti-aging doc that does that is one of these people that has so many different therapies that she bombards ya with em, and it gets really expensive -- HGH, vitamins, Myers IVs, chelation, yada yada......I think about 80% of what she prescribes is BS, maybe 10 or 20% helps. Or maybe she' s just greedy....???

I made this mistake. If you work out with intensity, I think that test can help out even with HGH levels. I have never tried a patch, gel or cream but I intend to try one of them. Cost is not a factor so it is all about effectiveness for me.

Great thread!

I'm new here, 54 yr old post menopausal and got the draggy ass. Fat in the middle, hypertension, all that stuff.

I'm investigating T cream for women.

I got a T pellet a few years ago and felt WONDERFUL for six months.

Got my internist to prescribe t cream at 4 mg/ml. Bikinimom said her endo in Dallas gives women 12-16 mg/day.
I started doing 2 cc/day, instead of 1 cc/day of the cream, plus I was using a bit of Andractim cream. The Andractim by itself really didn't do anything I could tell.
However, in 3 days of using double dose of t cream, my sleep schedule changed totally.
Before: I could sleep 14 hours a day straight. I could go to bed at 2 am, and get up at 4 pm.
Now: I hit the sack at 12 midnight and get up at 7-thirty, may take a 2 hr nap at siesta time when it's too hot to do anything else. A world of difference!

I have had low thyroid since I was 11 years old so I have argued with Endos. I insist on Armour Thyroid, the docs hate it. It's natural and cheap. They pull a switcheroo and put me on Synthroid and I raised HELL. It's not the same. One idiot doc in San Antonio took me COMPLETELY OFF thyroid when I was almost out of college. I dragged around for five years before I got back on it, and almost died!!! I was near a coma, is what the doctor said that saw me. I had myxedema which is severe puffy face from lack of thyroid.

My mom had the hypothyroid hit her when she was eleven years old as well, and she started taking Armour back in the Dark Ages. Thanks for those autoimmune diseases, Mom!! Grandma had an overactive thyroid and was bossy as hell. She thought everyone else was lazy. The Thyroid Fairy was NOT good to me or to mom.

So I've always been a fairly low energy person, never had enough energy for what our society thinks you shouldbe able to do (standard is a High T male with lots of stamina). When I was working, I would put in 8 hours and come home and crash HARD. In grade school, I came home and crashed for three or four hours every afternoon.

I'm convinced the answer is T, and lots of it. The damn FDA won't approve anything T for women. I think it's sexism. They don't want women to be strong, confident and aggressive! All the research I've read goes on and on about older women and sex drive -- HORRORS!! I have a steady man of fifteen years and I can use the increased libido. Mainly I just want to have enough energy to do ANYTHING, and confidence and stamina to follow through.

It is CRIMINAL that docs don't prescribe T for osteoporosis, muscle wasting, to burn fat, better outlook on life, etc. They prescribe anti-depressants which in my estimation, help a bit, but not much.

Am waiting for some oral Andriol to come thru.

Don't want anything that has a long life in the bloodstream in case my gyno is bent out of shape.

I am new to this HRT deal (started 6 mos ago) but when I started feeling like a "man" again I noticed my wife at age 50 was suffering terribly. I took her to see my Doc and after all of the saliva/blood and what ever test he determined that she had Adrenal Fatigue. There is a book on it by Dr. James Wilson "Adrenal Fatigue...The 21st Century Stress Syndrome".
It's about $15 at Barnes and Noble...get it...read it. My wife and I read it together and after 3 chapters we decide that she could be the "poster child" for Adreanal Fatigue:mix:!!

She is getting the weekly IV vitamin therapy and had more blood work done for a complete female pannel...hopefully we will have the results soon and determine whitch way he will go with her HRT. She zoomed through the Peri and went straight to full blown menopause...it has been a GD nightmare for both of us...it's a eff'n miracle we are still together...I guess we are both hard headed.

We are so determined to get this straigtened out that we have put just about all other interest on hold untill we do. It takes a commitment to get this going but I can tell you for myself it is worth it. Once I get my "Baby Girl" back to her self and feeling like a "woman" again we will be off to the races together.

In Wilson's book you will also learn about the BS that the insurance and Rx companies throw at us to keep us screwed up and how most of the food we eat is CRAP.

I guess it's taking us "boomers" to pitch a fit again like we did in the 60's to make this healthy lifestyle revolution move ahead.:supercool Kind of reminds me of the words to the old Buffalo Springfield song "For What it's Worth"..."there's somthin happenin here...what it is ain't exactly clear...":dance2:

BTW...Woodstock was 40 years ago this weekend...:garza:

I am going to start taking the shot of TRT, a estrogen blocker and perhaps some Deca, as my levels on the maximum creme are 750 and the doc thinks it should be better. I am 61. I started to take it because I was lethargic, and anxious all the time and not getting a full erection. But I was so damn anxious, sex was not in the radar. LOL On my own I went to a Life Extension Clinic and will have the bloodwork to determine where I should go. No shots of anything will be given until the results come in.

I posted this query in another forum as well..
I too like other men suffered from anxiety and deperssion and cannot take Lexapro or SSRI meds as they make me more anxious. On the creme my anxiety has lessoned but once in a blue moon I have to pop a Klonopin.
Will this Testosterone injection and Deca exascerbate my anxiety? Anxiety is horrible and I do NOT want to go back there. I am now going to the gym religiously and doing aerobic and eating well, so I do want to add to all of that in a postive way, but cannot be riddled with anxiety.
