hey women cardio help!!!!

hey, thanks for the tips people. I surf a ton, and well, its a great back workout, and i dont think i have seen fat build off of surfing. I did gain a little bit of weight when i was injured during track season. So i had to swim a lot and it sucked. I dont reccomend swimming as a good cardio source if you are trying to get ripped. Swimming also stretches out your muscles and makes them have a longer look. Thats why swimmers have that lanky body type. Aloha:mix:

I think you're right, but swimming at a certain level is self-selecting--short stocky people don't compete very well. (But hey, Lenny K is pretty darn lean!)
(Where in Hawaii are you from? I grew up on Oahu and Kauai.)

70 mins seems like it is way too much to do everyday. make sure you don't start cuting into the muscle. you only want to get the fat burned off.
I did cardio five days a week for 40mins each time and had great results. lost 15lbs in about 3 months. diet stayed the same, which was not very good.
just keep a clean diet and do your cardio on an empty stomach like was suggested earlier and you should be good to go.
good luck...dr

running, stair climbing, versa-climber, elliptical- i do it all each session- just to break up the monotony, maybe some jump rope- throw in some walking lunges- they get the heart rate up in between cardio sets
If you have a stadium nearby, that's kinda cool- running the bleachers
the sprinting mentioned earlier really "jump starts your heart!"
hope it helps.

i got a new PT

shes really lean and strong..she does cardio 5x per week, cycling, boxing and the think running/walking. She also suggested to do cardio either morning or arfternoon..just to confuse your body..dont let it get used to one thing..good for fat burning. any opinions?
