Hi everyone, I was so excited to find my pictures and story on Beverly Internationals website. I wanted to share these with you. They had asked me to write about my precontest and contest experience last year when I did 3 back to back contests. I have competed in 2 contests since then and have gained some lbm since the photos were taken last Oct.

For those of you who are having a hard time sticking to your plan I hope my story can help inspire you to break free of old habits. Please note that I was 43 when these were taken so don't be hard on me!

Congrats & welcome! The bev diet is what I'm following right now and like it -- very easy to follow!

very nice pics! you are an inspiration! i bookmarked that page to take a look at the diet more closely. i've been reading alot of stuff lately and i'm getting the feeling more and more i'm not eating enough food, and not the best quality either. i like to see things laid out so clearly.

Thanks for the kind words. I do love Beverly Internationals products and feel they are the absolute highest quality. I am a retailer so of course they are less expensive to me. I also mark them up just a little and so my prices are almost 2/3 of what they sell on their site for. You can find their products at gyms or retail outlets, but not at GNC. They are a cool company with a great attitude, are most helpful with the competitor. They have been around for 30 years and have a great reputation.

Texgirl-the diet in article was a cutting diet and to be honest I don't reccomend eating chicken for all your meals-I did'nt. That was just one days plan. For my last 2 contests I ate lots of fish, turkey and eggs. For your lifting heavy you want some good starchy carbs and lean protein sources as well as some good fats.
Tons of veggies help to round out the diet. Spatts has a nice diet posted and on that you cycle your carbs according to your days activities. Good Luck-Valerie
