Here's a "good" ladies topic - Washing your gym gear

Does your soft weight belt lose its support after you soak & hang dry it?

Do your leather gloves fall apart if you throw them in the wash?

Don't have a belt BUT I have had my gloves fall apart on me in the wash...then again they were already worn so it could be either one.

Mystery number 1 solved -- the soft weight belt holds its form after drying.

Gloves in the wash -- I owned some of those washable ones once, but they fell apart. Otherwise I have traditionally just thrown them out & gotten a new pair when the current pair is beyond funkt.

never washed my gloves.. usually just throw them out also. :)

Gloves are for sissys :p I use chalk or straps. I have never used a belt either not saying they don't have there place but I haven't seen a reason for me to use one.

I haven't used either for years. The belt is the one thing that allows me to do any heavy leg anything after my lower back problems and I decided I dont' need my hands all caloused up. My gym doesn't allow chalk, so I guess I went the sissy route. :)

The ole fart here, I wash my cycling gloves every ride because I snot all over them but my work out gloves-never, just toss when necessary and get a new pair. They really help pad my bony, arthritic hands, so I'll stick to the sissy stuff.
