Help me out guys....been out of the gym a month + weird thing that happened

So I've been out of the gym for a month+ due to suddenly coming down with some bad lightheadedness, dizziness, and fatigue. I went to the doctor turns out I had a middle ear infection. So I was feeling a bit better but not 100% so decided to get back to the gym..... Here is where the trouble began, I always drink a cup of coffee before the gym so I did today and the extreme lightheadedness and dizziness came back so I didn't go. Anyone know why this would happen? Is it a misdiagnsosis of the middle ear infection and this is really something else? Why would the coffee trigger this. THanks all!

Could just be dehydration mixing with the diarrhetic effects of coffee. Just a guess though. I know when I'm feeling like shit I won't drink coffee and that's a big part of my day. I love the stuff lol

Same here, I drink a gallon a day sometimes more. With the mixture of pwo, coffee, patrolling and the Cali heat I still get dehydrated sometimes.

coffee is a stim and will increase your heart rate. and when you workout your heart rate goes up.. that is your problem.

so cut off all stims and get in better heart health. you should pick up some support supps and start taking them. N2guard has a bunch of herbs that will aid heart health, but it will boil down to you improving your diet and getting into better shape.

i never understood the stim before a workout idea, if you really need something to help you get pumped for the gym then you should find another hobby. eat a good nutritious pre workout meal, grab your water, and go to the gym.. you don't need to take anything else. do stims help your workouts? yup they do. are they necessary? nope.. are they healthy for you? generally no. you don't need stims period. problem is many guys get hooked on them and then become dependent, so when they STOP them they end up unable to get energy for the gym.. this is a major problem and why you shouldn't get hooked on them to begin with.. yes caffeine is addictive

If they help your workout wouldnt that mean more gains in the gym? If so why wouldnt you take them? I get where your coming from but people on this site spend so much money on supps/perfect diet for better gains. So why cut it out..

I don't need them myself to get in a monster workout, i would say if you were lifting in a powerlifting competition and wanted to get in an extra 2.5 or 5 pounds to your lift then take it to get a boost but you better time it right or you could crash before its your turn to lift.

i understand why some guys need them just as many people cannot even function in the morning without their little crutch coffee (which without they would go crazy) and they can do as they wish as its their body, but if you are dealing with headaches, dizziness etc then you aren't getting in a better workout so you should stop taking them.

I'm very anti-caffeine especially after 1pm. it will impact and effect your sleeping patterns.

and then you have supplements that are full of sugar. they will spike your blood sugar up while you workout then you crash back down. you could argue that helps your workout with that sugar high. but is it a wise choice long term to gulp down a gatorade before/during a workout? hell no. thats as much sugar in a bottle of that shit as a bodybuilder should consume in a whole day

man...youre all wrong..haha

your euthaceon tubes (sp?) are connected to your throat..when you drink something hot they expand...changing the pressure in your middle ear...thus making you dizzy if you have a middle ear infection
