Hello

Bohe

New member
Hey guys and gals,
I am entering my first competition in Sept. These are my pre-conditioning pics. I'm looking for feedback good or bad. Pics were taken after two weeks in the gym.(I was out for three years.)
STATS 5'10" 140 lbs 34D 26 35 12.6%BF
I want my contest weight between 130-135 and BF around 8%.
Look forward to your replies,
Bo

wwhhhoooooaaa.. a little crazy eyed in that second pic there. j/k

what type of competition are you entering and why would you enter with only 3 months training? your legs look like they could be nice/cut in another two months but there just doesn't look like a whole lot of muscle in your upper body. don't get me wrong, you have a nice body, i just don't know if you'll be competition ready in 2 months.

You have a great physique. I think that you do need to focus on some areas, depending on what type of competition you are entering. Major focus: front delts, rear delts, bis, tris. As far as your lower body, I would just tone the glutes, hams, and quads. I don't think that 3 months is too short to get into contest shape. You have a good base to start with.

I take it you are going for a fitness competition? Great physique, nice long legs. Need more overall conditioning and cuts. Keep up the excellent work and good luck!

Bohe - welcome to the boards! - You look great and TALL!!!! Same question - bb or fitness? You will need some more mass for bb. If you are on top of your diet you shouldn't have a problem leaning out in 3 months, tho you won't have much time to practice manipulating your carbs, etc. to see how you react. This is key to get the lean out just right. You might want to target a couple other competition dates further down the road (they generally run through November before picking up again around March) to give yourself some time to build.

I've done 2 comps myself - generally I've got pretty good thickness and muscle development, but I forever struggle w/ the ol' estrogen-pattern body fat. Obviously not a problem for you! In natural comps it seemed that many of the girls were more lean than muscular, but the girls who won had both - ripped to shreds and great definition.

Another note, I don't know how your posing is - the mandatories & routine. This is something else you will have to master in that time as well. Though practicing posing is a great conditioning exercise to tighten you as well.

Good luck!

OK, I just got the flier for the same comp I did last summer and they have now added "Figure" competition to it. What is "Figure" comp and how does it differ from bb and from fitness? Is this like the "Best Female Bod" competition???

new@ - you did a figure show - maybe you can enlighten me??

I hope I answer everyone's questions.
I was recently diagnosed with cancer, so it's a do it now or never. I am entering a natural figure comp. It's sort of a mix between BB and Miss America....your supposed to have both muscle and beauty. There are three rounds of competition: symmetry in a thong and heels (Ms. America half) mandatory comparative and free posing. I practice posing daily, it really helps me understand all of my muscle groups and how they work together.
There is the possibility I will enter the mixed pairs with my son.
I have a very clean diet and upped my protein intake to about 100 grams daily...I have a hard time keeping weight on. Lots of supplements.

The two photos were taken after just two workouts per body part, so this is really my everyday figure. From previous experience I know I shape-up very quickly. I will post new photos next week, that gives me four weeks of training. I am concentrating on upper body!

Thanks everyone for your replies!!! I look forward to any more suggestions.
