I started coming on this forum about a year ago(when I was 16) lurking the gyno forums on more info why there were hard lumps in my left chest. I have pubertal gyno and it is really frustrating. I am about 6'1 and 185 pounds. I have a decent build becuase I lifted weights alot in both sophomore and junior year(im a senior now). I am currently taking letro 1mg a day. Ive been on the letro forabout 3 weeks now and there has been no difference at all. I feel like surgery is only way I can go. My chest is decently toned, because I do about 100 push ups almost every morning but honestly it making it work because now my right side looks really tone a great and just makes the left side stick even more. I really would appreciate any help please. I will answer any question asap

Hello yhyhyugi,

I read your post and feel for you. How are things going now? We last heard from you in Oct 2012. I treat a lot of teens who have this condition. Often times, by the time they see me, they've tried everything to get rid of it and it just won't go away on its own. There are certain circumstances where surgery is the best and only option. This is especially true for someone who has had the condition for an extended amount of time (1-2 years) with no improvement.

Surgery has come a long way in the last several years with new techniques being used, including virtually scarless laser liposuction to remove excess fat. Extra glandular tissue can be removed with extremely discreet incisions made around the areola. Whatever route you choose, I wish you all the best. It's true that choosing the right surgeon with specific experience in this area of cosmetic surgery is the wisest choice if you decide to have surgery. I treat plenty of patients who received bad surgery results from other surgeons and they now need to get it fixed. It's best to see a very experienced surgeon and get it done right the first time.

All the best to you,
