HELLLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard that weight training hurts your eyes. Is that true? Has anoyone else heard of this? Is it true that weight traning can cause your eyes to deteorate?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I am so sad! I wear glasses and suddenly I notice my left eye getting worse. WHAT GIVES????

What should I do? I do not want to stop working out, and i do not want to go blind either.

Any advice?
Thanks!

Yeah it does hurt your eyes. It makes you short and makes your penis shrink, too.

Stop lifting weights!!!

One time my dad told me:
"Son...if you don't stop masturbating...you're gonna go blind."

I said "Dad...I'm over here."

I knew a cop who had this problem. He explained it as though he was looking through water. He went to the doc. Turned out he had a large vessel in the brain pushing against part of the optic nerve. So any time he benched the pressure from the vessel would mess up his vision temporarily. I told him to try the upright benchs such as the Hammer Strength machines and see what happens. I haven't seen him since so I don't know what happened.

Crap@!!! I hope that he did not die.,....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He isn't dead. I asked another cop I knew if he'd seen him around and he said he had. He didn't know what the outcome of the eye thing was. If he was dead I would have heard about it. I don't mean to scare you with stuff like this. But weightlifting really increases the blood pressure at the time of the lift. I know on a couple of occasions I've finished up with bloodshot eye. There is a lot of pressure on these little capillaries. And the eyes aren't the only places where tiny capillaries exist. They are all over. Including inside the brain. I've heard plenty of horror stories about people having hemorragic strokes during weight lifting. Usually when the head is below the level of the feet as in the vertical leg press. I suspect that a lot of these stories are so much BS, but there are probably people out there that have 'bad' genes and pop one every once in a while. Case in point would be Cory Everson. I can't remember if she popped one or had a plate fall on her head. Anyway here's the site of her ex-hubby Jeff. Email him. I'm sure he knows the scoop. By the way, if you don't already know, you can get a free subscription to his magazine at this site.

I am so happy that he is alive.

So what you are saying is that I need to keep my head above the body to avoid too much blood flowing there? Thank God that I started to do Squats instead of Leg Presses.

Do you know any exercises that might be dangerous for eyes? (like vertical leg press)

weightlifting is static exercise. as suchit send the blood pressure way up!. if u wanna see how much get a guy to bench heavy and watch the side of his neck. his venous system (veins) particularly his jugular will fill up with blood and become very prominent.

how this relates to the eye thing....well for the eyes to feck up, most liely your inetrcranial pressure has gone up and is stooping the transmission of a cranial nerve that transmits optic information.

this can happen because 1)something in your brain haemmoraged (a blood vessel popped because of trauma or soething in your blood|)
2)something is mechanically blocking the arteries (i.e. an atheroma of fatty deposits...like in heart attacks!)
3) u have an inherited genetic defect causing a weakness in the walls of the arteries, causing them to ruprute more easily.

this is why if you weightlift, yyour blood pressure goes up and can cause these nasty haemmorages etc. but if you dont have a genetic tendency, its unlikely, think about it, the goventments would be screaming at everyone to stop lifting weghts otherwise!

the left eye could be anything, including such things as glaucoma! that can make you go blind, but if you get it treated you can hold it in its tracks. you might just be imagining the whole thing. safest thing is to get that mofo checked out aiight
:)

But what if I do? (hopefully not). What should I do then? What should I do to keep weight lifring and not go blind?

Reply please!
