Hi All,
I am brand new to these boards so hello, I need some suggestions on how to train while I am losing this gut I got here.

Let me give you some background on me so maybe that will help.

I am a male, 40 years old, 5' 7" and a discusting 350lbs. I have very broad shoulders and would have a small waist if I could actually see it.

I actually have been weightlifting off and on (mostly off from the look of me) since I was 16. I gain muscle pretty fast especially in my legs. I do have a lot of muscle mass from the years of off and on training and just need some good advice on how I should train while trying to lose this weight. I have a semi bad back, my last two discs are losing the "padding" in between and I need to stay away from to much pressure, example: heavy shoulder presses and things of that nature.

I need suggestions on this:
should I train heavy or light? maybe alternate days? how much aerobics should I do ( I can really only do the bike now with my back)? How many days should I train? I would like to eventually get back to a bodybuilding training schedule.

I have been told by some bodybuilder friends I used to train with that I have a lot of potential. It seems I have that broad shoulder/small waist thing going. Yea if I wasn't so damn fat. Also, I gain muscle very fast. Any suggestions would be very welcomed and appreciated.

I am ok with Diet but some suggestions on fat burners or appetite suppressors would be good.

Thanks all.

Very easy solutions

1) Eat 6 small meals instead of 3. (It fastens you metabolism and you can loose muscle easier).

2) Train as heavy as you can. What builds more muscle and uses more calories? Repping with 40 pounders for chest flies, or reppinbg with 315 pounds for bench press?

Also squats/deadlifts produce hormones in your body that fights fat. DO SQUATS AND DEADS!

3) Train regularly and have fun!
