Ok, I am going to try ECA as soon as I get it in the mail (probably like 2-3 days) and I would like to know what my food intake should be (ex - how many calories and p/c/f ratio). I am trying to lose like 10 pounds or so. I am 5'5 and am currently 135 pounds. Would eating about 1600 calories with a 40/30/30 ratio (p/c/f) be effective with ECA??

Thanks ;)

Are you going to be exercising? If so, when, what, and for how long. Assuming you are doing 45 minutes of cardio for 5 days a week, I would eat 1500 calories with a 50/25/25. This should be bring considerable results in a fairly short amount of time. Good Luck.

Yes, I will be exercising. I plan on doing weights 3 days a week and cardio 3 days a week, with one "cheat day." Thanks for your thoughts :)

yea somewhere between 1300-1600. maybe cycling cals throughout the week.

40/30/30 is fine... just concentrate 90% of your carbs after your workout. drop carbs lower on days your non doing weights.

i had great results using ECA and a 40/35/25 split
(p/c/f)

I took some in the morning before cardio and again in the evening before trainnig
i only took it on training days mind

Ok, maybe this is a really dumb question, but what exactly does it mean to "cycle" my carbs??

Cycling your carbs means to take in more on some days, and less on others. For example you might have two moderate carb days in a row, followed by two low carb days, and then repeat.

ECA doesn't elevate your metabolism very much - a 3-5% increase is being generous - its primary action is to blunt your appetite and give you boundless energy to work out. I don't think a cutting macronutrient split on ECA should be any different than what it would be without ECA. Either way, your diet should be clean, and you should be getting your macros from clean, quality sources.

Thanks BA and Ceebs!

Your advice is much appreciated :)

Just got the ECA today, so I will start taking them this afternoon!!
