i know there was a method here on how to do GH raises withou the machine. It was using a barbell and plates. If anyone can explain it or link me too it, that would be great!!! thx
Don't know as I have never used a gh machine. Maybe you would lay down, place some plates on your lap and squeeze your glutes. Hmmmm... now that I think about the description just get your girlfriend to ride on top tonight and you'll get the same effect.
This is the way I do mine. I've also heard of people laying facedown on the floor and getting someone to hold their ankles. You might have to use a lot of pushup power to get up the first couple times you do these though.
bigguns- ye i hear ya, the first few can be a pain, i tried doing them from my futon, could barely do negatives. I was thinkg off using some bumpers on a BB and have 2 partners keep them in place. we can rotate doing sets...
Here's the way that the wife and I do them. We use the lat machine and whoever is not doing them sits in chair in front of the person doing them and catches them on the bottom. Then, they give a slight push to get them going back up again.
Maybe I'll take a video later this week and show you what I'm talking about.
