Alright girl. You said that if I posted my pictures of the keg that you would post the sled dragging pictures...so GUESS WHAT???? IT'S ON!!!! :) :) :)

I am going to add in a few others besides the keg ones...there are some pretty decent ones of me working out from this past Sunday with the big crazy!!! haha...

Hope you enjoy these.

Here is the first one. I was trying to figure out how to get the daggum thing above my head and realized that I was going to have to work on that for more than one day. So...I decided that I would do a few shouldering reps. I did 2 sets of 4 and a hard set of 6. Those take the O2 out of you like you wouldn't believe. Wonderful cardio exercise!!!
 
This one is of me struggling after a few reps. It really got hard on my bis and shoulders after a while...but once again...it was a great workout.
 
Here is the last one. You can see B fold in the background cheering me on!!! OH...forgot to tell you...the keg weighed about 85 lbs, but was hard as heck to lift because of the water that kept sloshing around in it!!! lol...
 
This is the last one. I am doing the hussefeldt stone which weighed 155, I think. That's all for today. Now post up, girl!!!! :)

Vixen...I sure wish that was full of beer. I would have been drinking some of it!!! lol... OH, the competition that we are going to be doing is going to be in St. Louis, MO. I'm not quite sure how far that is from you, but you are more than welcome to come!! Spatts and Hannibal will be attending, too!

OH, Spatts...btw...I did sled dragging for the first time today. I figured I would throw some cardio in there. I did 4 sets of 100 feet and let me tell you what...those things are AWESOME cardio!!!

I gave up on the arm sleves...they kept sliding. Figured I'd just wear a long sleeved shirt last week. Still tore some of the skin off. Gotta love it :)

Did the 335 this week...the 385 is going down on Sunday.

Didn't you do the high intensity sled dragging...like we do in contests? That isn't the same as the WSB, GPP sled dragging hun. :)

I didn't have a belt on or anything....so mine wasn't looped like yours was. You are looking awesome, girl! Nice and STRONG!!!

I just hooked B fold's little handle thing onto the chain and took off running backwards for 4 sets of 100 feet. It was a good cardio workout. I'm surprised that Hannibal hasn't had you do that yet!

Nice butt picture, too!!!! hahahah....

Certainly wasn't cardio...

Just takes time for you to get used to a new style of training. I think that once you start breaking records and FEEL yourself getting stronger you will find it easier to adjust to. And you will realize that some of the things that you learned to be important to "muscle mass" are not as important to strength gains.

Sled draggin is about raising your work capacity...and NO it is not cardio per se.

Cardio wont raise your total. Intensity is relative....but the bar will never lie to you.

I liked using it for cardio!!! hehe...way to go Hannibal!!! You have done some amazing things...and you have helped out SO many people!!! :) :) Can't wait to see you again!
 
Night Fly was doing sprints basically with it. Not really a lot of fun...but will definately wind you and it is an adrenaline rush for sure...if you don't pass out.

For strength purposes...don't really suggest it. For athletic conditioning...love it.

So was what I did today with the sled not a very good idea? I just did it cause I thought it would be fun and I wasn't ready to quit working out, yet.

Sincerest thanks for the compliment....one of the greatest I could ever recieve...knowing that I in some small way could help people get closer to their athletic goals....

The best way to learn something is to try to teach it to someone else....for all that I have given, I have recieved just as much if not more in return. And when BTrue and yourself kick ass in St Louis...I will know I played a small part in it. Then when Spatts gets her Elite in December....I will get that "proud" feeling again.

Yeah I remember you fighting me. Not wanting to make the switch. Took forever to convince you. However one thing I am learning is that the more someone resists the more questions they ask...and the better they understand it in the long wrong.

Spatts right now is confused...not used to the training and adjusting slowly. Sometimes she looks at me like I am crazy ( which I probably am) when I tell her what we are doing NEXT. But instead of just accepting what I said at face value...she asks questions. And just from her asking questions I am forced to explain my training...which helps me understand my own program better. Especially when she asks me questions that I dont know the answer too....whenever I have to say "because Louie Simmons says so"...I know it is time to go and read more.

Didnt mean it as a bad thing at all...questions are always good. And as for whether or not you are working hard enough....when you bench 2 wheels in the next couple months you will know you were on the right path.

Besides you are just now starting to train to increase you natural ability. You are a natural strength athlete....you've just been posing as a BB for awhile. The sky is definitely the limit as far as your potential is concerned. Just happy to be along for the ride.

I have asked you a ton of questions and taken all of them to interest. I add a bit here, question a bit there, and read some more. Learn, adapt, learn some more, share a lot.

Nightfly..St. Louie is really not that far from me. Give me details via an e-mail, sweetie. My family and I may find some time to take a short weekend trip. I would love to attend one of these comps, as hubby and I watch them on TV allllll the time!

Get it straight....there isnt an air conditioner in my garage...I dont even have a "broken fan" in my garage.

Check the avatar...definitely not a pretty boy.

And the plates are covered with CHALK and RUST...just like they should be.

And another thing. Those "chicken legs" (no offense) sticking out from under that squat bar DO NOT BELONG TO ME...they are The Projects...I was on camera detail.

Hannibal...The Asylum looks SWEET! I would love to have something like that to workout in. Let me tell you...I have become spoiled working out in B fold's gym because I don't have to leave the house and put up with all those frilly people in my gym who want to know why the heck I'm strolling around the gym and up the stairs with 50 lb. dumbbells!! LOL...

Looks like you put a lot of work into it, and hopefully one day, we can come out and train with you two in YOUR gym!!! :)

Thanks Fly Girl...got a long way to go. Still need to go get the Reverse Hyper. Still need to get the flooring issues worked out. But it is a work in process, and serves its purpose.

We actually have The Project training with us full time now. No more "pretty boy" stuff...he is working for strength. And his progress (though I give him shit on a regular basis) is nothing short of amazing. At one point Spatts wasnt allowing him to deadlift because of his "back issues"...today he pulled 6 singles with 133, and had ALOT more in the tank...these were speed deadlifts, not max effort.

And Spatts...what can I say? Definite natural as a strength athlete. Even though her back is a little "FUBAR" at the moment from the morning session...her comeback from injury was tremedous. She is stronger now than ever. And now that she is actually training for her strengths the sky is most definitely the limit.

As for myself...dont even want to talk about it. Got my ass kicked in my own gym. I know I am weak...but at least I'm slow. "Dont call it a comeback"
