fast gains

Hey guys,
I know that patience is important when getting into this.
I am fairly new at this and have started to see some gains after lifting for a bout 4 months now.

I didnt see ANY results until just now all the sudden.

so anyways.. my question is... what do you experienced people consider a fast gain.

Would it be 6 months worth of training to significantly target a problem area, or do you figure once you have a problem area that a fast fix is like 2 years away.

im just curious what the time frame you can expect in this is.

I'd wouldn't worry about problem areas until you put on a sizeable amount of mass. If you get caught up in trying to address specific muscle groups you'll sabotage your gains. Just focus on big compound movement, work hard, and eat a lot. As for what I consider fast, I'd say 1.5 to 2 lbs is about the best I've done in putting on weight without adding too much bodyfat(Though recently I might have surpassed that due to using pro-hormones. Can't say yet.)

in how much time did it take for you to add 1.5 - 2 lbs

im not addressing problem areas.. because at this stage in the game.. my whole body is a problem area.

I just am trying to figure out what to expect.. I mean.. should I figure that working out constantly for 1 year is going to result in massive changes in my body..

or should I wait for like say 5 years before I am going to see any major changes

As a beginner, I would think you could gain a few pounds a month if you're sticking to basic compound movements and eating a shit load of protein.

In one year yeah you will see pretty big improvements in you physique. So long as your doing things right. Often many people blow alot of time in the beginning because they don't fully know what they are doing. There not intense enough, their diet is off, train to often, don't train enough.... ect... ect.. ect...

Once its all dialed in though the initial changes happen pretty fast. The unfortunenatly you can have drastic changes and sometimes not even realize it because from day to day its so gradual. That is untill you see a photo of your self from before.

I really fucked around for quite a while before I got serious. nutrition was way off, training was sporadic. (my gym membership gave out didn't renew it but tried to do my best w/ the 25IB dumbbells I had (and a few lighter ones) and then later the 35IB dumbbells I bought. Finally got back into the gym and a bit later dialed in on diet. From then on improvments were pretty fast and body altering.

In the beginning is when the biggest change in your body will happen of course I mean after your done tooling around in the gym and your diet is on and your in the right mindset.

If your skinny adding muscle will show fast, if your not you may put on alot of size but it will be harder to notice untill you shed. Of course shedding fat is alot faster than adding muscle and that too will make a huge difference in appearance.

Ooops! I meant to say 1.5-2 lbs a week. This is with a solid diet and intense training. Faster gains are not impossible when your starting out, but as Enock says, it's hard as a beginner to really get things right. I'm still working on it myself--although in some respects I still AM a beginner. It's completely possible to make pretty stunning changes in your physique in six months

I think depending on your "before" pic, stunning changes can occur even faster. Look at those "body for life" contestants. They all made HUGE changes in a matter of 12 weeks. just depends on dedication/knowledgeand will.

im saitified if i put on around 4-7kg of lean muscle mass a year..when you begin you will put on more than after a couple of years. as a natural anyway..i cant talk for the juicers.
