Welcome, linda! I'm personally not able to help you with this, but there are lots of wonderful ladies here with a ton of information. You came to the right place. I'm also going to gift you a seven day trial of plat so that you can enjoy the search feature here and look into the archives.

Hi Linda and welcome to EF!

If you're looking to lose weight, the first thing you need to do is have your diet or nutrition in check. I can help you with that. However, can you tell me what you eat and drink through the day?

Now, once you have your diet, there are a number of supplements you can take, but that's after you have proper nutrition or you'll be trying to burn a certain amount of calories while your putting in more then you burn.

thanks very much ladies for replying..

thandie... i eat relatively healthy, today ave ate -

breakfast - green tea and two slices of wholegrain toast

lunch - a omelette ( 2 egg whites 1 yolk, with onions, chillies and a little cheese)

and for dinner am about to have wholewheat pasta with chicken breast

i drink only water throughout the day, and if i have any juice its always diet.

I am about 5ft 2" and weight about 10 stone after having my daughter 2 years ago i just cant seem to shift the weight and get back to the way i was...!

Its starting to get really depressing.. I got told the Efrogen (maybe not correct sp) helps you out and a few friends lost a lot of weight taking them..? but dont really know the postives and negatives of these..!

thanks

Not bad! however, the reason for not losing weight is that you're not eating enough calories. In order to burn fat effectively you have to use food as fuel.
Here's an example:

Meal #1 1/3 cup oatmeal and 3 scrambled egg whites.
Meal #2 Protein shake.
#3 Chicken or turkey or tuna fish or fish with a salad or vegetables.
#4 Same as 3, but with 1/2 cup brown rice or sweet potato.
#5 Fish and vegetables.

You can have many different variety of foods. This is a sample. If you need more of a variety, let me know.

Skip the bread and pasta. Drink water and green tea.
NO processed food unless you happen to be used to that, in which case I'd cause you to stop using it slowly. If you stop cold turkey, you're likely to go back to that.

thanks thandie.. thats just todays food i do usually eat a mix of different foods all relatively healthy, don't get me wrong i do have lazy days where i pig out.. but not too often!

but still am struggling to lose the weight.. I dont get to the gym as often as i would like but do excercise in the house..

would you recommend taking these efrogen tablets or anything else..?

thanks again!

Welcome to EF :)

Those pills would possibly work, but it would only be a short term fix and the weight would likely rebound. Unless.......You fine tune your diet as the other have said. Once your diet is perfected and you start to lose fat from the diet/training/cardio then you add the fat burner. The fat burners should not be used a crutch for improper nutrition and training. I promise once you get your diet and training together the fat burners will be the icing on the cake (no pun) and the fat will really drop.

Welcome to EF!

Yes they will certainly help burn fat. SouthernLord made a great point that the fat burner is really the icing on the cake. You will find if you start them prior to a great diet and training plan - you get all the sides without all the benefits. Your diet looks sound except the fact that you do need more calories. Thandie layed out a great plan.

Anyway, in the mean time you might want to try a product called LipoFlame by agxsports.com - you take it prior to your workouts to help with intensity (thus burning more fat). And, the rebound doesn't happen. Give it a go...

Welcome! :)
Thandie is dead on about needing to eat more. Right now your body is holding onto everything it has because you are not eating enough.
I think if you follow what she recomended you will see great results. Not only will you drop fat but you will also feel better throughout the day from fueling your body properly.
Best of luck!

Please don't miss-understand me. I don't want you to pig out, lol!
Just balanced meals so your metabolic rate goes up and helps you burn fat. You will lose the weight eating frequent small meals with NO processed foods.
Sorry, I'm repeating myself, but sometimes that's when we 'listen' to things we need to make changes on.
