Dumbell curls

When i've been doing my seated dumbell curls, or "concentration curls", i've always wanted to know which form is best to use. Does one perform a curl so when his arm is descending or reaching its original position, should it be perpendicular to the ground or should i let the dumbell nearly touch the floor, i think they are called concentric and eccentric. Also, should i have my elbow dug into my crotch area? or is this isolating my arm and supporting the exercise too much. Anway, which form do you guys use/have found most beneficial in terms of gains? I hope my question is understandable.

ill try to answer. i would rest my elbow by my knee. the rep should stsrt/end with the arm at full extension, so your dumbell will come close to the floor

I used to workout with this guy who used to try and hyperextend his arm when doing concentration curls. When i asked why he looked like he was in pain, he told me that by attempting to etend farther than possible, it would lower the insertion point of his bicep.

So sad. So very sad. I'll tell you for sure that is NOT what you're supposed to do. When i do concentration curls, i like to let my elbow rest up against my inner thigh, close to my knee. I dont like to actually have the elbow on top of the leg cause it can get uncomfortable. And i would go through a full range of motion.
