does squatting wreck the rest of your workout?

Love GM's. never get a scab though. i sit the bar pretty low and try to keep it from moving.

my scab is respectably placed low on my traps, so i know i have good placement...it's just that my skin bunches up and the bar rubs the fuck outta my back.
what kinda gm weight do you work with nate?
ever single?

my new back work out is the sucky/awesome type shit. high pulls & barbell rows. then shrugs. go home.

my last single was quite a while ago, it was 295.

I gotta get back into it. I've been so out of the gym lately. i work at a twinkie gym with zero intensity. next week I go back to a more competitive (in my mind) gym. gonna start a training journal on the training board for that.

yes. this is good. you are contracting your whole upper back/traps to form a nice "shelf" if you will, for the bar, resulting in that awesome scab back there. it/s like the calluses we get from deadlifting or heavy bent rows. ya gotta love it. also like the scrape and bruising on the clavicle when the bar comes down from the OHP. fuckin awesome.

"eh, did you run into a brick wall with your clavicle??"

"no, hang clean and push press day."

OK.....stop talking dirty to me.

No.. I usually squat up to 400 for sets of 3 then full range leg presses up to 8 or 900 for 6 rep sets. But I have really good leg stamina from years of supersetting.

I do the same for deads up to 500 followed by leg presses. I alternate my leg workout dead and leg presses or squats and leg presses.

i did later succeed in the next attempt

I hate squats,I only do them because I don't want to look like one of those assholes with the big upper bodies and legs that blow in the wind.

I have noticed a defineite difference in my other lifts, I feel weaker during other lifts even on different days.
