lol. i started back up with 20 rep sets. i did a set with 185 the other day. it was my last leg set. and i could only manage 3 more sets of pull throughs.

Good man....you know I recommend 20 reppers in my old school program

i train pl style, so 1 rep is all i care about...other than soreness, my body feels great, no pain anywhere...my form is good so that has a lot to do with it

Well that one rep is really going to impress the bitches down at the beach.

I bet you're hairy. And when not in leather you can be found wearing silk pirate shirts from International Male.

I think you can eliminate some of that soreness through conditioning. No, not dragging a sled through your 'hood, but plyometrics. Jumping up and down from boxes, jump squats w/empty bar, and so forth. Even running, to an extent. This is something I've done before and during heavy squat cycles and has been useful, even for my beat-up middle aged legs. You'd have to research this idea yourself though, as it's an easy one to misuse. Better you know for sure before you start.

i had gotten upwards of 300x20. and then slapping on 4 plates was....easy, compared to what i had just endured. i swear, 20 rep sets with SQ's & at times, DL's will sky-rocket your strength. these guys need to check out Tom Platz and his crazy ass training days.

maybe my stamina sucks, but after sq'ing i'm almost too crushed to do anymore gym activity...i know some peeps sq as their last exercise but i wanna be strongest at my sq so i do it first thing. goddamn 3 days later and I'm still wrecked, could barely get out of bed this morning...and I've been sq'ing heavy (for a lightweight non-juicer) for a few yrs now. seems like my body just gets distressed, regardless of condition.
am i gonna die?

How many sets you do?
