does someone wanna adopt me?

thanks - i am splitting up the body parts for my workouts.

How long have I been dieting this way ? Well for years and years I did the low calorie fat free diet. I stayed at 500 calories a day for six days a week and had a cheat day - and I was about 120 pounds but 38% bodyfat.

Well now I am 140 and 23% bodyfat but I wanna drop more but I'm suck - I've been stuck here for about four months! Doing everything I can. I'm afraid that I am eating too much :( But I guess I need to do more. I jsut want to have a perfect diet - and I'm not sure how to do that.

I never drink soda not even diet. Only water all the time.

Sunday is a cheat day. The whole day. Maybe I should keep it to a cheat meal???? it is usually the whole freakin day. I'm really strict during the week though. Sometimes I cheat on Saturdays too. :(

500 cals/day!? Good lord, how did you survive?! :)

I saw Babyfaced Assassin posted a sample diet in your other thread. He seems to know what he's talking about, so I'd say give that a try. Try it for a week or two and see how it goes.

As for your cheat day... again, it's all about how strict you want to be. Just know that the crappier you eat, the more likely it is to set you (further) back.

I think the only way to find the perfect diet is to experiment. Everyone responds differently to different diets. Write down everything you eat and monitor your weight, bodyfat levels, etc. Keep a journal and use it to figure out what works for you.

The most important part is to be patient and STICK WITH IT! It's hard, but in the end it'll be worth it.

Hmmmm... well you don't seem to eat to much, so you'll be cheap to feed, and 23% bf isn't that bad. Send a pic and I'll decide if I want to keep you around. You are house broken right?

lol

I did not survive on that. (500 cal) my metabolism slowed down and I gained just from eating anything at all! I would get dizzy walking up stairs - I would faint after getting out of the tanning bed - my workouts were not really workouts and you can forget doing anykind of cardio. Plus I was always tired and in a crappy mood -

good times.......

oh yeah - of couse i'm house broken. I can do tricks too....

Candy,

This is what has helped me. I did CKD and followed Mr. X's spreadsheet to the T, no deviation. I didn't lose any weight but about 2% bf. Then I got stuck so...

I know eat around 1400 cals a day.

I eat 5-6 meals a day. Basically

Breakfast:

3 egg whites, bowl of oatmeal

Lunch 1:

3 oz chicken breast
4 oz Yam

Lunch 2:

Same as lunch 1

Dinner :

Protein Shake

After Gym:

Protein Shake

Snack:

Depends if I want it: a big salad or a bowl of bing cherries.

I eat every 2-3 hours. I have read that you can lose weight with less calories, but you have to fool your body into thinking that it's getting more food. In order to do this you have to eat every 2-3 hours. I hope this helps. I am no expert, but this is working for me. Good luck.

Alicia,

Pretty well. I have come to terms that this is not a race. I'm trucking along. I refuse to get on the scale. It does nothing but frustrate me. I am now going to gauge how I feel, how I look and how my clothes fit as the results. Thanks for asking. How's everything with you?b

I'm gonna go w/the consensus and say up the calories. 1400-1500 sounds good. Also if you're doing low carb you definitely need more fat, add a tbsp of olive oil here or there and that will do you good. As for the cheat day, I say you need a social life so give yourself one-two meals and if you can, take ALA before eating...

I think that the problem is that you're using the protein as the main source of energy, besides eating too little to support your daily activit... therefore storing fat.

Here are some suggestions for your diet...

>My diet is 1 egg and some egg whites for breakfast
>in between breakfast and lunch is tuna
>for lunch its a grilled chicken breast salad
>then more tuna w/ hard boiled eggs w/ the tuna

1st meal - Breakfast
one bowl oatmeal, 1 apple, 6 almonds
2nd meal
6 egg whites with green veggies, 1 slide bread (no white bread), 1 cup of tea
3rd meal
200g chicken breast or meat or fish, 1 cup of rice, green veggies salad
4th meal
protein shake, 1 grapefruit
5th meal
tuna with boiled veggies

Notes: Cook with extra-virgin olive oil, do not cut up salt, don't eat sugar.

Are you taking any supplement?
