it really is, my son trust me with everything. I could never say the same with my parents. I want to be the one both of my kids go to with any problem, no matter what it is and they can talk to me, with out worry of anything.
I have to remove myself from the 'mom' thing every now and again and be the person they confide in. But I rather they come to me than some random person that may give them false information etc.
I'm really easy to talk to, and im a good listener. Both my kids come to me without hesitation about anything.. even if its something that concerns me. They don't hesitate to tell me i did something upsetting etc... And I respect them for that. I love my relationship with them.
