Went for ME narrow bench and it wasn't good. Just had a bad day I guess. Got about 15-20 pounds less than I know I have in me. Felt some weakness and a little pain in interior delts, so that convinced me I'm not working them hard enough. Strapped on 30# and did 6 reps for 3 sets immediately after benching. That was yesterday and my shoulders are sore right where I want them to be. I am also sore in part of my chest, not a bad thing, a welcome side effect. Anyhow, I expect the dips to help increase bench even more than flyes did. Uncovering more weak points. Thanks for the input guys.

having strong tri's is definately a key point in having a big bench. Dips, close grip, extensions..you gotta really wreck your tri's and your bench will go right up(and then your chest should also get a big stronger because you wont have the same weak point). There are a few good bench increase articles out there, the one on www.testosterone.net sticks out in my mind. www.ironmag.com also has some very good writing.

Tris always get stronger, never been weak link. Chest had been a weak link, added flyes and it isn't anymore. This exposed interior delt weak link, added dips. Going to be interesting the next time I bench to see where my next step lies. I'll check out the link, thanks.:)
