Hey all, I am having a hell of a time dong my deadlifts, it seems that no matter what I do, it is still geting to my lower back. Do I need to work my lower back more or what? Or is it just bad technique? Any info or tips for this is appreciated!!

try doing good mornings and hyperextensions after your deadlift..... and use weight when you do them............. also in the words of Hannibal.........TRAIN YOUR CORE!!!

It is probably a combination of the two. Is there any way you can video tape your dead workout? If you can you will be able to critic yourself.

In some people weak legs are the problem. The legs are locking out prematurely so that the stronger lower back can do the work. I suggest (if possible) video tape your deads and look for yourself. In most cases when you have to adjust your form you have to drop the weight or else you will fall into the old technique. Good luck

When you miss a pull...where do you miss it at. Off the floor or at the lockout. Do you pull conventional or sumo?

thankz

I am gonna try to tape myself, that is a good idea, I would have never thought of that one. I Prefer sumo style too, on conventional I would miss the pull off the floor, call me crazy... thankz for the help, today is leg day, i'll post how it went. And I will tape myself, I go to a preppy gym, they all are going to look at me like "what the hell...." Thankz again to all that responded!!

post workout

ehy all, tonight was a good night, 455 for 6. I added some good mornings and hyperextensions and no problems whatsoever. I did videotape myself and I was right, unfortunatley I had to answer to everyone who saw and wondered why. oh well my gain!! i noticed that i need to keep my frickin knees still they move all over. as for the back pain I have no idea, I have a feeling that the 'mornings and 'extensions helped alot!! Onceagain I appreciate all help that was given!@!@
