i'll work on #1, i've seen studies though

as for #2, the article states how much he is being asked to pay. i'm sure the amount was at least partially based off of how much the mother makes.

i'm not gonna delve into #3, those involve your own values and emotions and have nothing to do with me or the facts. i don't know who the fuck you think you are talking to me like this though, settle the fuck down

1. I'll be waiting.

2. The mother, for all we know, maybe a millionaire. The 1-2k or whatever it is that the father is being ask to pay may amount to a hill of fucking beans.

3. You don't want to address #3? So is that a NO? You'd choose your own happieness of this poor innocent child's happieness? You selfish bastard you.

OMFG... you're amazingly generous with other peoples money, aren't you?

That type of policy would lead to perpetual single motherhood and to and environment where the children of divorce would most likely NEVER have a good father figure in house with them. Cause no motherfucker woudl ever marry a single mom knowing they'd inherit the financial burden.

Congrats, you're a real champion of the children.

Awesome public policy there.

maybe a good father wouldn't be such a crybaby about money. the guy in the article seems like he'd be a shitty dad.

He's not the father.

Bro... you can't go pointing fingers at Random people and say - MAKE THIS CHILD'S LIFE BETTER WITH *YOUR* MONEY.

That is, unless you are doing that yourself. I'd imagine you are not.

lol, the judges aren't trying to be dicks. they wouldn't have made the "dad" pay anything if the woman was that loaded

Been awhile since I read the article but... IT'S NOT HIS KID, HE AIN'T THE DAD!

My point is, that you can't say that the amount of money they are asking the dad to pay is going to make the difference between being homeless and being a happy go lucky kid without knowing more - but you seem to have made the amazing leap that Money from Random Man = Happy Child.

It does not.

i don't really give a shit about the kids or the men in situations like this. none of the kids are my problem and if they all got heart attacks tomorrow and died i wouldn't bat an eyelash. i'm just commenting on what i think is the correct ruling. the dad" started raising the child and now he has to follow through; he isn't random

there is no man law in no land that could make me pay that money........I'd liquidate all of it, go to the carribean.......and dare somebody to come get me...........fuck the U.S. and it's feckless mealy mouth bullshit, I'm tired of it.

He's not 'RANDOM' but he is not the father. I don't know of any legal precident in any other area of law - where you becoming financially liable because you helped someone one time.

So... if I help an old lady cross the street, get to know her... take her mail and paper to her every day, check in on her - you know because she's my neighbor. But then one day I have to move away for my job - do I have a financial burden to replace those services I had once volunteered?

Like hire a fucking god damn'd nurse for her?

Fuck that noise...

That type of policy / thinking is going to destroy good semaritans / step-fathers.
