Close grip bench- 315 x 7, 375 x 1

Yikes! my best close grip was 320 for 1, best bench 405 for 4 reps

lol don't know if I plan on ever moving those up again, felt ike I was hurting everywhere all the time

I'd post this on the training board, except for it isn't really a training question. Just thought I'd share.

Are we talking about a real close grip for Tris and inner Pecs? If so that is some good poundage for your size! If not keep at it!

Yeah. All but my ring and pinky finger are in the smooth part of the bar. I'm wide enough that going super narrow where my hands are all but touching (which I've done with 315) does some real damage to my wrists. What I do is a legit narrow-grip bench. I had a 405 x 3 bencher spotting me and a 405 bencher looking on. They would have loved to have called me on it if I was cutting corners. :)
 
That's some serious weight Cas.

I love seeing some serious efforts by the non-powerlifters around the board. Some of you guys push your limits and I find it inspiring.

Congrats on finding your way back to new gains.
