CKD Questions

I have been doing alot of research on the ckd diet and I am wondering if its possible to extend the peroid that you are in ketosis from 5 days to 14 days then carb up the following weekend ?

Would the fat burning be enhanced or would it decline?

I would appreciate some info !!!

Thanks

you can go for months without eating carbs-I just did it for 3 months straight-but, to build muscle and drop fat, you should eat carbs 1 day out of every 7

If you wanna lose fat and muscle don't eat carbs. You can be a skinny pussy when your all done with the diet. Eat high protein, mod carbs and low fat, lift and do lots of cardio and I promise you will lose weight. I got cut doing it and I got to keep a good amount of my muscle. Carbs are not evil, you need them.

Dear sizesurge,

Yes, 14 days in Ketosis is extreme and poses a very good chance for some muscle loss, if lifting is done daily. But, I have personally done the following CKD cycle without any muscle loss (maybe about .5-1lb all together) --no "supplements" used---besides E/C stack and Adipokinetix:
14 days Ketosis
2day Carb-Up
10 days in Ketosis
1 1/2 day carb-up
7 days in Ketosis
1 day carb-up
5 days in Ketosis
1 day carb-up
3 days in Ketosis
1 day carb-up
10 days in ketosis
2 day carb-up
----start cycle over----
This did wonders for my fat-loss, but, again, it's a hard road to follow. It's your choice.

Whenever I begin a CKD (it's been almost a year) I always start with the first two weeks without carbs. I don't know why, but it works better for me. Then I just continue with 5 days on, one day off. Then the next week, I'll just go 6 on and 2 off. I like mixing it up. I usually do it this way to try and time it around my workouts. The days I carb load I never work out. I rarely if ever have lost strenght on a CKD, and I always end up leaner.
