Lots of those chinese medals awarded were very questionable on the judges part. Some of the gymnastics womens events were definitley screwed over. Niether the US nor china deserved some of what they actually got in gymnastics IMO.

Plus, the chinese totally broke the rules on age minimum for the chinese gymnasts girls. Those chicks are not 16. No way in hell. Whether they were better or not doesn't matter. It is against the rules.

Watch, china will get like 30 medals in London.

if hatton worried about hard work like he did eating and drinking he could of been something more than a one hit wonder. tszyu had longevity and will be remembered long after hatton. how many world cups have you won again? how many ashes series you won since 89? you will remain on top in the olympics though. with london 2012coming the money that will be spent will be enormous. history shows countries rise to the ocassion on home soil. i beleive you will come third in '12.

actually, the first thing they've done after this Olympics is cut the funding to the British athletes so I'm not sure if what you say is true. A lot of the money is going on stadiums and shit.

Right now, we're better at football than Aus, better at rugby, have a top boxer and better at olympic sports. You guys have still got cricket and those sports no one plays like Aussie rules and rugby league. The tide is turning for good tho, Britain will be ahead of Aus for the next 20 years in almost all sports.

Not in WWI...the French army had collapsed and not for the Lusitania, the Brits knowingly putting their own citizens at risk to smuggle war materials, and the Zimmerman telegram.....Yes, Churchill was an asshat...

Hitler played nice so as to not invoke US involvement until Pearl Harbor...that was some crazy time on his part when he declared war. Even Russian historians admit the US lend lease was critical to their eventual victory. I wrote most of my papers in college on logistics and the locomotives and cargo trucks were critical to the Soviet war effort.

what were you taught at school? I was always taught (wrongly) America's entry into the war turned the tide but it wasn't true, the impact of Russia on the Eastern front was the telling factor.

cutting funding? your kidding! there is no way finding will be cut. dont start running the US line here. no country has ever cut funding in the lead up to an olympic hosting event. although it would be a very british thing to do lol
