chest pain/strain

Hi all,

i was doing shoulders this morning and i was doing shrugs and in the middle of my set i feel tihs intense pain in my right pec near the center.

I toughed out the set and wen onto my next one but the pain was too intense had to cut the workout short,

did some deep static forward dips to try and stretch out it seemed to help but now even sitting here if i look down it hurts

has anyone experienced this before, is it muscle strain or maybe a pull?
 
That is pretty diff bro getting that while doing shrugs. I would even venture to guess what is going on with you. But I would RICE it and see what happens.
 
I've been icing it on and off all day thank god my bro oin law is a doc. He said its just a strain. If it was torn it would be all bruised.
 
Good to know and good for you bro. Glad to hear not something more serious. Take care of it and let it heal completely before going to the big weights.

I tested yesterday. Ill post my workout on my log today. I've been soon more volume at moderately heavy weight instead of just ball busting weight I'm responding better

I actually woke up with almost. No pain. Te future bro in law hooked me up with a few muscle relaxers which I think helped. I always stretch after workouts. And I get a deep tissue massage every mo th and my masseuse always complains about all my knots. I attribute it to be 5'8 with short muscle bellies lol.
