I notice any lifts that isolate arms are impressive. You've got major guns, chica.

Thanks for all of the replies, some of you ladies are crazy strong. I haven't gotten back into squats yet, I feel so overwhelmed with so many out of shape body parts. I've got some of these numbers written down.

The only person it's important to exceed is yourself, Melaina. :garza:

Oh I know, absolutely hon! I have just been rocking the universal equipment mainly because I have been out of business for so long that I wouldn't even know what weight to put on anything. (especially bp and squats) I would be highly embarrassed if I put too much weight on something, couldn't lift it and had to bring it back down. I took people's numbers who were not competitors, averaged them out and dropped them down a certain # based on the equipment and will start with that. I am in no way in a competition (as some seemed to be with you, hahahaha)

LOL

So I did squats today, deep squats not those pussy ones you see some people pretend to do. 15x3 at 30lbs + bar.... ohhhhh my goodness. I could have done more if I tried to max but I want to tone. I felt like.... super stupid but I did feel the burn in my quads on the 3rd set and I did break a sweat so, cool. Will now be added to leg days. I usually do 15x3 ab and adductors @ 130lbs but I was so sore I had to drop it down to 110 and I still had a HARD time getting through my 3rd set.

I am no longer a squats virgin. I do hate leg days though.

Yay! Good job. I used to hate doing legs also. Then someone told me that the part you don't like to do is probably the one you need to work on the most. My mindset just changed after that. I LOVE leg days now. I usually wwork them 2x / week. I wish I could do it 3x.!

Congrats on getting back into it. *high five*

Thanks hon :)

Oh I will be the first to admit my lower body has always been my least appealing asset. I used to have to work legs in high school / college because I was the top thrower except in shot put which is all about legs, naturally my worst event LOL. I've always enjoyed working body parts that I see a visual change in. Since my upper body is leaner when work out I see the difference sooner and that gives me a boost to keep going.

I tried to carry my daughter down the stairs and I couldn't LOL.... I had to hold the railing and go down one step at a time like a toddler.

Melania, Great to hear you are back on the wagon again - dont stop!!!

It sounds like you are off to a good start. Remember though just because some girls are lifting one weight and others are lifting another does not mean that is where you are suppose to be. If you are just getting back into training you should be training all body parts which it sounds like you are. You should also start off easy and slowly work your way up - take your time - this is very important. If you have any questions there are lots of us here who will be more than happy to help out and I will also be more than happy to help. Actually what I would love to see you post as I am sure many others would as well is a training journal. Or if nothing else put your lifts here on this thread.

My lifts are not fair to put so please do not compare, but will give you some ideas of bigger numbers:
Current bw: 163
Bench 5x225x5 (did last week)
Competition bench 330 last december in 165 lb class at bw of 153.
Incline DB Press: 6x75x8
DB Curls: 6x50x6
Bar row: 5x205x10
Lateral DB raises: 8x40x12
Legs: dont train as they get too big and throw semmetry off, but here are some old numbers...
Leg Press: 1400x3 (no this is not a miss print and no I am not stretching the truth - it is documented full reps, no wraps, no assistance)
Squats: 225x56 (and again no this is not a miss print - did this at the womens strength extravaganza)
