calories/cut/blah blah :)

Ok, when April comes, im going to start to cut up a little. I'm not really changing my training around, but im added a little more cardio, eating just a little less, and taking xenadrine. Ok my question is, right now im doing 5x5 training, 4 days a week and im sure that burns alot of calories. I wanted to try out DC training, but that would only be 3 days a week, and would burn less. So should i just hold off on DC training for a few more months and stick with 5x5 or something that burns a good number of calories or what? Thanks ! !!!!!!! :)

is 5x5 working for you??? if the poundages are going up etc, then should be fine. toss in some cardio, focus on food.

Yes 5x5 is working, but what im asking is... lets just say that each day i burn 600 calories from this routine, i do it 4 times a week so thats 2400....now lets say i switch to DC training and now im burning 400 each day, and i train 3 days a week so thats 1200..thats half thte calories i burn using 5x5 training, and even though im throwing in cardio and watching my food intake, it would be more convienent to burn more calories while lifting :) So what do you guys think?

If what you are doing is working and you are enjoying it then there is no reason to change, lower (cut out) fat/carbs late on an evening if you don't already do so.

Sounds like you really enjoy the 5x5 and are having success with it, I think you already have a plan in mind and you know it will work, I'm sure you'll achieve what you want to.

Ya the 5x5 is working good, but when April comes, ill already have been on it for 2 months anyhow, so i figured i might need a change. I want to do DC, but I would rather do 5x5 if the calorie burning will make a big difference.

and as for my stats, what all do you want
17 years old
5 6 1/2
162 lbs
probably 9%body fat, you can still see my 6pac decent.
bench 240
squat 330ish
dead 330ish

Ok, not getting too many responses here sooooo, I was thinking that I will do 5x3 for like 2 months then do DC around when summer starts. Alright, those of you that gave me your input, thanks alot! :) Anymore is appreciated as well.

I'm currently in a pseudo-cutting mode and I'm doing 5x5...
I'd stick with it for the obvious reason that it burns more calories, and if burning calories is your goal... Bingo... you kind of figured that out on your own...

The only thing I've done now that Im not eating quite as much, is on certain movements, I've dropped from 5 sets of 5 to 3 sets of 5.... mainly incline bench, and deadlifts...
