Calorie ?

i usually dont even bother fussing over calorie counting and all but im not sure im getting enough. i usually eat 5-6 clean, small meals a day. if im lifting 3 days a week and doing 70 min cardio 3 days a week what should be my calorie intake? i dont worry about eating too much...i worry that im not eating enough. im 5'5 123... looking to put on some more muscle and lose some fat ( like everyone else on the board-whats new right!? lol:o ) .....especially on my cardio days... i burn sooo many calories im not sure i eat enough to compensate. word of wisdom anyone!?!? thanks:D
 
basically what worked for me was really keeping track of what i ate (food journal) and then playing around with the numbers to see how my body responded... i found that when i upped my calories to over 2200 i saw the best results in myself.... i had more energy to lift and do my cardio and i wasn't feeling run down and tired all the time during the day at work... especially with your schedule girl, make sure you are eating enough, you'll only feel like crap if you don't

i think there is no magic number, you have to play around with the diet and find how your body responds.. everyone's metabolism is different and what works for me may be way too much or too little for someone else...

Phem -- i remember u sayin u had a fast metabolism. i read one of ur "typical food days" and i would have to agree that u have a very fast metabolism, lol. unfortunately i dont. just about my entire family struggles with their weight soooo i have been cursed with fat ass genes and a sloooooow metabolism. i could never get away with eating that much. ive been an athlete all my life so i havent had a weight problem but if i slack off a bit i will blow up big time. i have to bust my ass to stay in shape. i have energy during the day but i still think i need to up my food intake a lil. ill try to play around with "my numbers" this week and see how i feel. thanks:D
