butt issue!

Hi there 2 u all, ive been visiting this forum and thought that i would say hello & introduce myself. I'm 37 years old, 5ft 5", weigh 118pds my bodyfat is 17% i know that cos ive just been to the gym and got it done ! ive just started bck at a gym 2wks ago after throwing in the towel 18mths ago at my old gym through having no support or guidance in my quest to do a figure show needless to say that gym closed down.After booking my hols for April i found another gym just to "tone up" as they say and hey presto ive been bitten by the gym bug again with the added bonus of avin Sharon ( the gym owner ) as enthusiastic as myself for me to compete.Anyway a few queries that i have for all you knowledgeable ladies out there #1 am i to old to get anywhere in this sport ? #2 i have a small amount of cellulite around my butt which's bugging the life out of me can anyone help? other than that the rest of me is comming on nicely. Oh ! i'm avin 5 meals daily 40/40/20 i take flax oil and creatine, also glutamine but when is the best time to take that ? Am i on the right track ? so much information out there and a lot of conflicting advice. Please help me & my butt !

#2 i have a small amount of cellulite around my butt which's bugging the life out of me can anyone help? As much as you hate it...it's probably genetic. I have some sticky fat in the same area!

Thanx scorpiogirl will start taking it like you say. Could you also tell me the amount or mg of glutamine i should be taking ? these i have are 500mg do you take the glutamine on your rest days ? Once again many thanx.

Welcome! 5mg per serving (a teaspoon) mixed in with a shake or some kind of juice or water. I usually only take it PWO to help with muscle recovery. If I'm extremely sore, I'll take it on off days too.

To help with your "trouble areas" and to effectively guide you .... we need a little more information.

1) What EXACTLY do you do for your workouts? The more information you list, the better.

2) What EXACTLY do you eat everyday? What ar ethe SPECIFIC amounts, measurements, condiments, preparations, time you eat, etc. Again, the more informaiton the better.

MEAL 1 8.00am
1/2 cup quaker oats/skim milk/1 scoop whey protein/few berries/flax oil

protein shake pwo
MEAL 2 11.30am
Tin tuna in spring water 139g/ green salad
MEAL 3 2.30
4 egg whites 1 yolk scrambled / salmon/ green beans/ flax oil
MEAL 4 5.30
chicken breast / green veggies
MEAL 5 8.30
lentils (chana dall )/ raita (0% nat yoghurt,cucumber & mint)/flax oil

everyday the same, different combos,no salt only spices in lentils
3+ litres water daily.Also use turkey,cottage cheese ect for variety

Train 4xweekly
hams/quads/glutes/calfs 1 day

shoulders, tricepts+ Abs another

back + Abs

chest/ bicepts

i do compound on all body parts where possible 3 sets/ 6/8 reps i lift heavy to failure

take creatine a.m, multi vit, Glutamine

only bck training 2/3wks ago My stats are :-

Bicepts 11.52
chest (around bust) 37"
waist 25.9"
thigh 19"
calf 12"
 
Just remeber age is all in your head....lol that is what i keep telling myself....welcome and don't let your age stop you at all

Many thanx gymgurl, i wish i'd found this site a few years ago i'd av kept on training probably been an old hat at comps by now ! where i'm from, a small town in the u.k, gyms are for men and the launderette for woman!!! Like i said in my 1st post jacked in training thought i was chasing a non existant dream.But now i feel more focused & determined to achieve my goal probably cos i am older & know for def that i can make it, i wont be made to feel bodybuilding is for men only anymore !Infact at this new gym 2day a couple of blokes offered to spot me which was fab i got a few more reps out that i wouldnt av been able to push which felt awesome.
 
OK, so you pretty much have the diet and training down...are you logging your food in fitday yet?
