This reminds me of my grandfather having a fit when I would play my Stray Cats tape. "This isn't music!! This is noise!!" To him, big band and swing was real music. Jimmy Dorsey, Hoagie Carmichael, Dizzy Gillespie etc. I'm sure to his parents, that was just noise too.

To each his/her own...., swing music, big band, heavy metal, bluegrass, country, rap, whatever.. just saying this is the type of 90's musci I personally grew up around at the time along with the other genres like Van Halen, Beastie Boys, Led Zepplin, The Cars,. . Then later, R&B singers like above mentioned, PAul Hardcastle, Keith Sweat, Notourious B.I.G., TuPac, MJ, Group 112, Usher, Jodeci, Tevin Campbell, etc so on and on.
I did not grow up around big band or swing, it was not my type of area of music I grew up with but I do respect it though.
