Well, it helps that the warehouse is 120 miles away.

Driver was here before noon, so I didn't even have to waste the whole day waiting for the delivery.

Now I just gotta make room on my desk for the 27" wide-screen monster.
 
So I got pre-approved for a mortgage, then went and looked at my dream house that I've been wanting for the past 20 years. The house next door to my apartment building. An old retired couple lived there forever, and they finally had to go to an assisted-living facility. I've been waiting for this for 20 years.

Looked at the house, and it's pretty grim. Then I found out that in the two days it's been listed, there are already two offers. I'm not going to get into a bidding war for a house in this kind of condition, even though the potential for greatness is there. Quelle disappointment.

Man that would have been too easy, though, if I could have moved next door I could move without even having to rent a van, and my cat's prowling territory wouldn't even change. It could have been so painless.

I went to the grocery store at the 24 hour Super Walmart on the outskirts of town tonight, and they had the biggest selection of Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavors that I've ever seen, they had tens of flavors that the other local supermarkets have never had. Including "Pistachio Pistachio". So I bought a rather large selection. Fuck me. I might as well just apply it straight to my gut and man boobs.

BTW that wood fired oven baked pizza looked pretty good too. Crispy.

BBQ Ribs are the best, alongside with some sweet corn with salted butter. Aint nothing better then getting away for the weekend, just kicking it back!!
 
Fantasy footbal tonight for me. 4 entry teams at $150 a piece, should be a an exciting year and even better if I win first through third place, its a win-win situation.

I didn't think about corn, but that's a great idea. It's already in season here, and super cheap.
Yeah I especially like kickin it with no city sounds or construction noise, just the sounds of birds, and the occasional boat or dirt bike.
Nothing like ribs to make you feel like a carnivore too- I'm eating something's RIBS!! lol
 
Chainsaws at dawn again. I don't get these guys. There's a mass of overgrown vines and thicket behind my building, climbing up a utility pole and wrapped around the wires and transformers. Every week a crew comes out here, makes a lot of noise with chainsaws, makes some barely perceptible difference, then leave. Then a week later they do it again. It looks like the Corps of Engineers has come through with all the other foliage, but the original problem with the utility pole remains.

omg that's right!
If I were him I'd switch to the Oilers. Taylor Hall could motivate them into something good. I'm interested to see where that goes myself.
