Best Weightgainer While ON?????

I have been trying different weight gainers and alot of them taste like shit. I tried muscleblast 2000 and it tasted like a bag of fucking sugar.What is a good tasting one? I dont care if I have to drink an extra cup,as long as it taste's good.I know about the diet. I am looking for something inconjunction to my meals. Any info is appreciated. .

Gainers Fuel 2500 by Twinlabs is smooth. It mixes up good and taste good. :artist:
 
How about a protein shake made with some half and half cream or a few extra spoon fulls of heavy cream with the protein. Think outside the box. The weight gainers are the worst crap you can put in your body and will do nothing for you but stress your body with the megadose of sugar.

Ive posted this before but her it is again:

16oz nonfat milk
1 banana
2 tbsp peanut butter
2 tbsp heavy whipping cream
1 tbsp olive oil/flax seed oil
2 raw eggs
2 scoops protein powder (i use chocolate)

Tasted good as hell, massive amount of cals and protein-i forget the numbers, add it up....
PS- Dont chug this, drink it slow.

My amateur opinion: Weight gainers really aren't a good way to add calories to your diet at ALL. Bionic BC and Slash nailed it, FOOD, and that recipe is a variation of the recipe given in the Schwarzenneger encyclopedia of modern bodybuilding, and it does work really well. Keep in mind, it's really hard to gain lbm without getting soft, so say goodbye to the veins in the abs for a few weeks/months.

I use that shake to wash my oats down when I'm gaining. You can also thrown IN some cooked oats to add carbs to it. I also use lecithin in my shakes.

Yes eat these and alot of complex carbs....DO NOT TAKE WEIGHT GAINERS you will put on weight which will be almost only fat...you'll never see your abs again unless you do cardio...stay away from those things IMO I used to take them and got up to 265 but BFAT was at least 20%
 
Maybe something is wrong with me, but I think gainers are a good way to get extra calories. They should not be relied upon, you should always eat as much whole food as possible, but it's not always easy to eat 1,000 calories at every meal. I am 6'1 250 and I still have visible abs and I eat a box of frosted sugar cookies a day. I am stuck at that weight. You guys make it sound like if you eat any extra calories you will turn into a fat ass. You have to have ample calories to put on size period. Trying to keep abs when you bulk if ridiculous. Do I think you should get sloppy like Lee Priest? No, i don't, but to get big sometimes you need to put on some bodyfat. If you want to be on the cover of Runners World that's great, I don't. You aren't factoring in the differences in metabolism, genetics, training intensity, drugs, etc. I'll keep drinking extra calories and getting bigger, while you worry about your abs. I don't mean to sound like a dick, it just angers me when people hold other people back.

I agree. I think Gregory's shake was the best shake instead of food though!
 
Weight gainers that arent too excessive with calories may be used PW, when high GI carbs are needed, but beyond that, stay away from them. Eat lots of good food. Some MRPs have respectable ingedients such as Lean Mass Matrix, Myoplex Deluxe (new formula), and VPX's MRP. Adding some natty pb or flax would be a good start if you're havin a toguh time. What's you diet look like?
 
I agree that commercial weightgainers are probably bad. But a home-made drink with milk, eggs, protein powder, etc. is okay. You cant argue "Steak!" unless you're suggesting he liquify it in a blender and chug it. "weightgainers" are fast extra calories/protein in between meals. Not everyone has time to sit down to 6 broiled/grilled/fried (whatever!) meals of fresh fish/chicken/beef.
 
Is there any weightgainers on the market that aren't just filled with shit. Can they put complex carbs into them, or is it all just sugar?

Here's your complex carb weight gainer....go buy a couple 5lbs tubs of Maltodextrin and put in about 100g carbs each shake and of course your ptein shake u use, malto isn't sugar but it isn't rice either. It's your best bet between the two
 
Nothing takes the place if food, but there is a product out called "Carbo Hit" It has 52g of carbs per serving, and only 1g of sugar.
 
They all tasted like shit, even the ones where people told me they tasted great (yea right!). Food is my favorit weight gainer, just have to be smart about what you eat.

Amen bro;) I eat like a horse BUT I also work like a slave!!! Believe me i eat steak everynight for dinner. Hell even my neighbors think i am crazy because my grill is always lit!On the other hand,I cant run around my work and stuff my face all day and deal with customers! But on the other hand i can take a half filled gallon of milk mixed with weightgainer to work and chug every few minutes. That way i dont walk up to a customer and talk to him swallowing food. I am asking about a SUPPLIMENT, not a cover up for food!

Just eat like it was your last meal when you eat. Nothing takes the place of food. Weightgainers are a bunch of crap if you ask me.

I totally agree. I am a fan of the N-Large 2 by Prolab. It's got a solid hit of protein with a good amount of carbs. Most gainers are going to have maltodextrin as the primary carb source which is advertised as a complex carb, which it technically is, it has a very high glycemic index though which means it acts like a simple carb.If you're trying to put weight on though it's all good.
