Behind the neck should be avoided when doing pressing movements and also if your doing pull-ups/downs...you should always stick to the front...especially if you have bad shoulders.
Was there ever any proof that going behind the neck would yield better or different results than to the front? Seems like this came up once. That front and back yielded the same positive results, but that back yielded more injury for the majority than front?

I've never heard/read anything that said behind the neck is any better than the front. That could be because of the potential for injury...not quite sure on that though. I'll try to dig up some info on that.
