bench grip ?

im curious to see what bench grip is best ? i know it probably comes down to what works best for you but maybe there is a better alternative (see sumo v conventional discussions)

personaly im using a grip where my third finger is on the rings, seems to 'feel' smoother when i bench.

Pinky on the ring.

In all my training...even max effort...my grip is always inside the rings. Sometimes all the way into index on the smooth. Now at a comp it is index or middle finger on the rings.

i use ring finger on lines when shirted up,but all training grips are done with grips between smooth and power rings,

I do all my training inside the power rings, depending on the exercise depends on the grip. When I shirt up though I normally put my index finger on the rings. I may decide to go with my middle or ring finger on the rings depending on what feels most comfortable after training Westside with all the closer grips.

I use middle on the ring for normal benching, completely outside the ring for wide grips. I think alot depends on your arm length, shoulder width, and where your bengh strength comes from.

any reason a few of you are training with grips inside the power ring ? is this done to just bomb the tri's a bit more ? also what is the legal grip for comps ?

A guy at my gym last night was doing reverse grip (think its called suicide grip) bench, when i asked him why he just said he likes it, cant argue with that i guess.

this is going to sound stupid......but what is the distance between the rings?
i train with what you could call "non standard" gear.

legal grip in comp is no wider than pointer finger on the power rings.most rule book will say 32 inches.......yes we use those grips to invovle tri's more and we keep switching them around in that area.
