Base Calories Off Lean Mass Or Overall Weight?

Having been cutting for a while now, I'm going to be bulking again soon. When cutting, I took my overall weight (250lbs) & my bodyfat (24%) and found out what my "lean mass" was, which was around 190lbs. I based a cutting including number of calories etc off 190lbs instead of 250lbs as I was advised to eat calories relating to my lean mass weight instead of my overall weight.

Basically, I was just wondering if this goes the same for when bulking? Should I base my daily calorie intake off my lean mass weight, or my overall body weight?

Thanks in advance guys.

Why don't you just find out how many calories it takes for you to keep the same weight and add 250-500 Calories? Try this...before you decide to 'bulk', add 250 Calories to your diet. See if you gain/lose weight the next week. Everytime you don't gain, add 250 Calories until you don't gain or lose, that's about how many Calories it takes for you to remain the same weight. Now depending on how fast you want to take your bulk, add 100-500 Calories. When the week comes where you stop increasing, add more.

Calculators and estimations are not accurate for an individual, they are good to get a rough idea.
