is that 25 reps total or 25 reps per dropset?

one of the most awesome dropset squats Iv seen (on video) was
500x8
405x8
315x8
225x8
135x8

I did 135x8 225x8, 275x8, 315x3, then the drop set was 365x5 -> 315x5 -> 225x5 -> 135x10

This was totally unplanned. I've never moved that much weight in one set.

I was going to do straight sets of squats then leg press, but of course all the leg presses were being used. My legs are fucked.

lol Iv been planning for ages a dropset of full squats kind of like that but nowere near those poundages, but once I got the right strength to do it then I started 5/3/1 then I got injured and it just got put off for so long I never managed to get round to doing it...

do you think you could hit 405 for 1 rep?

when my back is 100% Im gonna give those snatch grip rackpulls you were talking about a try too!
 
I hit 405 for a max single a few weeks back. It was hard.

My training partner did the same drop set but he did 405x5, 315x5, 225x5, then 135x10. He's a fucking beast. He's a short and squatty dude with a good build for the squat. He's a straight up bodybuilder and he kills me on all lifts. Fucker.

Here's my forearms routine:

Heavy Hammer curls - 12, 10, 6, 6
Wrist curls - 15, 15, 15, 15
rope pullups (narrow grip) - 8, 8, 8, 8
Static holds - 100 lbs for as long as possible on an incline

I do this 2-3 times a week.

what are the poundages for the hammer and wrist curls you use?
 
Wow, great post TimTim.. I am definitely going to save those and look into them in the future. Also, just for clarification do you do your 1 leg RDL's with a DB in 1 hand and the other hand balancing on the bench if you need it? Just wondering because i remember you posting something like that a few months back
 
I lightly touch the power rack when needed with the single leg rdl. It seems I need more balance with my left leg than my right.

I killed hams again today. The single leg rdl and walking lunge superset is a winner for sure. My backside is blasted.
