arghhh!! mini-spare tire be gone!!

I am about to saw my spare tire off with a hacksaw! Seriously, I have been working hard to eat perfectly and it just isnt goining away. My waist is staying at 33 inches and I really need to get rid of this fat. Its like a mini bike tire...I am like 13%bf now I think. Should I switch to interval aerobic training? The running 30 minutes is just not working and I really have a very clean diet. Same for my girlfriend, she is not losing any fat and is eating very clean as well. It has to be in the aerobic area, I dont know what else to do- I am 5'11" 183 pounds, I am not fat but these little love handles completely ruin my physique, everywhere else I look pretty good. What can I do?
 
yeah I would try changing it up to interval cardio. After a while the body gets used to what your doing and is able to start holding onto the fat again.

Yeah that must be it- I have been running 20-40 minutes -4 days a week for months and have seen no change in my BF%. How long should I do interval?20 minutes? alternate 3 minutes jog,1-2 minutes sprinting?
 
Try just getting off your diet for a while (1 week) Don't go nuts, but enjoy what you eat. You can shock your body this way too. Start the interval training as you go back on your real diet. This has worked for me in the past.

Well, I have to drive to San Diego from Tampa next week so I wont really be able to stay on my diet- that would be a good opportunity to do what you suggest. I really am completely focused on getting down to like 7%bf, I feel like a big fatso with this spare tire. I am sick of it. My arms have gotten up to 16in and my chest and shoulder and legs are growing but no luck with the BF% so far.....
 
Regurg I feel with you man I have sort of the same problem. I carry my fat slightly in my front and slightly in my love handles, nowhere else. I have tried everything! Diet doesn't work, cario makes me lose tooo much weight and training doesn't! I am 6'2" 220lbs and frustrated by the tough spot!

It sucks right? I have a friend who is totally ripped, hardly ever works out and eats like crap. he could fart and get abs, it is annoying. Genetics play a HUGE part in BF% apparently. I am praying this HIIT training will work for me...I have kept my cals around 2300 with 250+ g/day of protein,38g/day of fat and 150g/day of carbs. Does that sound right? What else can I really do? I do 3 days a week of heavy lifting(2 days upper body,1 day lower) and 4 days a week running(which I will switch to HIIT training).
 
i say get off your diet for a week and eat normal. then get back on your diet the next week. sometimes your body gets used to consuming only so many calories. I know thats helped me before. for instance i was not able to train at all last week because i was out of town for work. I basically ate what I wanted and didn't worry about trying to keep my diet in check that week. when i got back i weighed myself thinking that i must of gained 10lbs of fat, well my weight had went down along with my bodyfat%. my bf% actually went down around 3%.

I have been eating so cleanly for like 8 or 9 months that I dont know how to eat "normal" anymore. Like I said, I do have that long drive to California so I have little choice but to eat whatever on the road- then when I get there I will resume training, maybe that will shock my body into losing the fat, either that or I will turn into a gluttonous pig! haha, I am going to try interval training for 8 weeks and see how that goes.;) You know how it is, you get so paranoid about every little bit of food you eat that your afraid to eat anything that might screw up your diet. I eat whatever I want on Sundays so that I stay sane....usually I just have 2-3 drinks and maybe go out to eat at some TGIFridays type grease pit....I really dont get cravings for junk food or anything so I dont mind eating clean, but I will try what you said, thanks.
