APF meet in Tulsa?

There may be some confusion on records. A person is only eligible to set state records for the state in which they reside. The KC Crew & Springfield Crew need to consult the MO state records. The Okie Crew (except Screwball) is eligible to set OK state records. The location of the meet is not the determining factor for state records the state of residence for each competitor is the determining factor.

OK, to help clarify some things...

I called the venue of the meet and talked with several of the powerlifters there, which assured me that 4-ply was fine for the squat suits, and that open back denims are fine too.

As far as the Missouri Chairman, it took some hunting down, but I found him. I talked to his wife, very nice, and he will call me back tonight about the records. (So please no one call them in the mean time.)

His name is William Wessels and the number is 314-770-9279.

To make sure of the APF rules, I bought a book ($5), from Frantz, and should have it in a few days to make sure we are all good to go.

Willie and his wife are good people. I have no doubt they'll get the info to you in a timely fashion.

Everyone do me a favor who is coming to the meet. I am trying to get to be a bigshot with the Oklahoma APF so everyone that is coming to the meet, make sure you put on your application that you are coming to the meet cause I told you about it.

This would aid me greatly if you don't mind helping a brother out.

OK Guys,

Talked to Willie Wessells just now on the phone. Super nice guy.

I asked him about Missouri State Records and elite totals varying.

He was going to call Ernie Frantz and figure it all out. He said not one APF meet has occured in MO since 1992, but he's doing one in St. Louis on Feb 22 that will be APF sanctioned.

He said that we should be able to set MO records for MO in an Oklahoma meet. Except he also said that he hold some Illinois records even though he lived in MO his whole life. So we may be able to set OK records since there isn't an active APF in MO. HE said that if nothing else, we would establish MO records at the FEB meet.

Anyway, he was also going to check on numbers for elite staus, etc. - although they should be in the rule book, which I should have in about 2 days.
