Anyone ever get the absolute fucking shit kicked out of ya?

That really fuckin' sucks. Sorry to hear about that. My dad used to beat the hell out of me all the time. We used to have to stand by, and watch him beat our mom too. I was about 5 at the time, and my little brother was 3. I remember it like it happened yesterday, though.

Thanks for the sentiments but I feel worse for you. NO CHILD deserves to grow up like that.

My kids were spared watching the physical violence because I kicked their father out THE FIRST time (made sure it was the last) though they grew up watching me cower and take verbal insults constantly - my bad. Working hard to "fix" what was broke in me in the first place to allow that to happen.

My exhusband was the only "love interest" that had become violent with me, the previous were (for the most part family). Sorry, I forgot about the one time I got beaten unconscious in a night club by a dude. Yea, he was a REAL big man beating down a 5'3", 120# female. From what the bouncers told me I went down after the first punch (I dont even remember being hit the first time) then the asshole actually got on top of me and continued to punch me with a closed fist while kneeling on my chest and holding me by the shirt.

To this day I will recall though the feeling of what it was like to be hit that way (I guess it happened so many times in my life). There is a low "thud", kind of like when you pound cold meat with your fist.

I suffer serious short term memory loss as a result. It's funny how there are certain things I'll never forget (I am REAL GOOD at Jeopardy LOL) but other simple facts escape me. ie: I am CONSTANTLY "losing" my car in the parking lot.

Never, but I ain't dead yet and I'm getting more relaxed as I age. When I was younger, I was always ready for a fight just in case. Now, even though bigger and stronger and nearly as quick, I just don't think like that. Someone could beat me over the head and I probably wouldn't move if I'm in a relaxed mood. Oh, but if I catch them afterwards, there will be hell to pay!!

Bullshit. Watch too many movies.

The only one I wouldnt want to fuck with is a wrestler. Once they get in close enough your fucked. Thats why those Brazilian guys always win those free for alls
That's what I was going to say...

I know this 50ish yr old guy, but looks much younger is still buff and lean, who has competed in scores of different disciplines at a high level and was once on the USA Olympic wrestling team, but is also ace in many non-ground principles... He says he never got much out of learning boxing... and wrestling got him most. He must have been crazy as a youngster... He's got some immobilized fingers and rough joints from breaking too often and has restructured teeth, got em broken all the time right through the mouthguard.
He's 50 and I'm 18 and he's like 5'2 and I'm 6"4 but he could still kick my ass. Made a point of letting me know it too :)

He was my English teacher in HS and actually a very intellectual guy.

I'm actually not into action movies at all. I just think any sport in which you can not lock, grab, twist, pull, push, kick, knee OR elbow your opponent has little to do with actual self defence. Those are some serious weapons I just listed there that you simply haven't mastered. I've seen boxing matches on tv and they don't even really look like people out to end one another they're like dancing around one another and hopping up and down...

Not that I know a damn thing about fighting like I stated I've never been in a fight or trained for one (other than swordfighting but that's not applicable)
Just the way it seems to me from common sense.

never been annihilated in a fight, fortunately :) but have seen it happen (and broke it up) and it would be an awful thing to go through. some of the bashings i have seen are just awful, like the first time i came home from uni and went out, and saw a maybe 240-250lb guy grab a smaller guys head (175lbs?) and smash it repeatedly against one of those octagonal light poles, with one of those meaty "splat" noises each time. i didnt break that one up though, these 2 big maori guys got there in a hearbeat and told the guy that it was enough (translation: keep hitting him and we will destroy you)

gotta love socially responsible people :)

honestly since ive bee workin out i havent even gotten into a fight. i guess cause i barely go out anymore

Mr. Black

ie: karma message.

More like a repetitive stress fracture. He was pretty much hitting me at will up to that point.

But it was the most worthwhile fight I had, cause it taught me the value of moving around;)

Up till then I could punch harder than the guys I had fought so I was something of a statue in the ring. From then on I learned its ok to get out of the way of a punch

He'll murder ya Rock.

what! and then what happened? yeesh i know im going to sound violent but if i saw a guy doing that in a club, i would boot him in the head that hard it would probably fly off

hate men that hit women or weaker people  ooo makes me mad thinking about it

When I was a pre-pubescent 12 year old I received a pretty good thrashing from the post-pubescent 15 yr old neighborhood bully! I used to run around w/ the bully's yonger brother and one day while the younger brother and I were jumping on the trampoline, the older bully brother came by and threw me a beating! He didn't injure my body, but my pride was severly injured. I was shocked as it was the first time that I had ever been punched.....repeatedly.

The story ends happily though......about 6 months later the Puberty fairy came to visit and my uncle introduced me to the weight room. About a year, and 25 lbs later, I threw a beating on the bully......and then we were friends. ;) tear......

I think I could use this story to market some kind of fitness plan....put it into production and make millions.

I was being pummeled by this dude while his buds suckerpunched then proceeded to jump my brother (we used to go out clubbing quite a bit back in the day).

Bouncers jumped in and pulled the asshole off of me then I remember coming to in a back room and had to go out into this hyugely crowded club in order to identify the assholes. In the end nothing much happened to the fuckers.

I can actually say.. my guard saved me a hell of beating many times.. If I cound get them down I would.. It doesn't always work but if you can control part of the body .. your doing fairly good. I had to use this alot in the dojo when up against male opponents... It always worked for me ;)
