Another Fun Sunday, 3-24-02

b fold the truth

Elite Strongman
Platinum
Well, starting to pick it up again getting ready for STL. No luck in finding any kegs to train with, but this is a start. Thought that I would go light in the gym and start to pick my events up, working on speed mainly. I plan to go light on my events for a week or two, working on speed and technique mainly. Hope to add weight on all events next week and really start to get serious about my training.

Bottom Position Goodmornings
several warm ups
205 x 3
275 x 3
325 x 3
367 x 3 (all very easy)

Stiff Legged Deadlifts
135 x 10
227 x 10 (very easy)

Plate Farmers Walks (grip a plate and just walk with it)
45's x 300 feet x 3 sets
(did some light sled dragging to increase GPP in between sets)

Tire Flip
650lb tire x 5 flips x 3 sets
1,000lb tire x 1 flip x 3 sets (never been flipped before)
Did my Rocky dance for a few minutes!!! :)

Log Clean and Press
140 x 3 reps x 8 sets (very light, full clean and press on first 4 sets...working on technique)

Yoke Walk
345 x 50 feet x 2 sets
345 x 150 feet x 2 sets (timed last set at 15:52 seconds)

Hussefeld Stone (new stone...oak!!!)
285 x 50 feet x 2 sets
285 x 100 feet

Atlas Stone
185 x 1
320 x 1, full rep and placement
320 x 1, cradle and squat up as high as possible...no placement

That is it...I am exhausted!!! Going to do some reverse hypers and abs before bed along with lots of stretching:). Total workout took about 3 hours from start to finish...maybe a little under. Can't wait till next Sunday...should have some good wooden farmers and the rest of my hussefeld stones should be cut down to a decent size.

I included a pic of my buddy Cheese doing the tire so that you can see the height of it. He is about 6'2"...like me. It is a 22ply...not exciting. I also included a pic of my buddy Bover getting ready for the Hussefeld Stone...he made me 5 of them...this is one of the smallest.

Comments...suggestions...laughs....:)

Maybe I can get Night Fly to post my pics ;)

those are not low profile tires. i doubt they would tuck well under the fender of a honda civic.

but im sure it would fit nicely on top of one! :D

holy crap..1,000 lb tire!! i couldnt budge it, if it was standing up and i took a running start and dove into it... and its great that you have so much fun doing your llifts.
