For years I've been a "steady-state" after-work cardio kinda girl.. mostly from the misguided notion that it was better. And if there exists a polar-opposite of the "morning person", I am that person.
Thus, the idea of AM HIIT was both offensive and horrifying, to say the least.
But after following the log threads on this board, and seeing the great results you ladies were getting (in a third of the time I was spending on cardio!!), I've had no choice but to change my thinking.
Monday morning, at 5:30 I got my sorry butt out of bed, and did my first session. O. M. G. That was no joke!!! By cycle 4 I thought I was going to die! I did make it to 8 though, amdist some unladylike cursing and an ocean of sweat. Longest 12 minutes EVER! lol..
But now, having done it 3 x this week, I think I'm getting hooked.. I love that it takes 22 minutes instead of 60. I love that I haven't gone up in weight, as I feared I would. I love that it frees up a lot more time in my evenings and starts off my day with a bang.
And even the getting-up part isn't all that bad..
