eye doc says my astigmatism doesn't warrant toric lenses, which is gonna save me some $$.

he popped a set of Acuvue 2 into my eyebulbs and i'm 20/20. this kicks ass.

he wants to do a followup in a week cause i havn't worn contacts in so long. that's cool. then he'll set me up with my script. wanna give it a week anyway.

it feels so weird, yet, so cool.

and my kids are confused.

They have you for a father. Did you really expect that a new pair of contacts would cure them of their confusion

who said their confusion has anything to do with this situation?

Thanks Crak for looking out for a fellow bro. Just saved me some money. :)

I'm too afraid of poking an eyeball to put in contacts....it's glasses or lasik for me.

hey, no problem!

the way it looks on a few sites i've checked out, getting the Monthlies as opposed to the 1-2 week lenses comes down even cheaper.

when i wore contacts before, i made a 6 month supply last 1 year. scary but true. i kept them ultra clean and never remembered to toss them and open new ones anyway.

big bonus for me...my script in both eyes is the same for probably the first time ever, so that's gonna make ordering even easier :)

in about 1/2 hour i get my first ordeal with removing the lenses...eye doc put them in after he numbed my eyes.

this ain't gonna be fun for the first few days.

new glasses will be ready in about a week. Walmart = $88. got the one year warranty too, so in about 10 months they'll have a little "mishap" with the floor and one of my boots ;)

I can make 2 boxes last for nearly a year. I just take them out and clean them occasionally. They will last much longer than 2 weeks, they just don't tell you that because they want your money. I've been wearing them for 25 years.

how old are you biteme?

and yeah, i konw they'll last longer than they claim. it's also a cleanliness issue though.

i stopped wearing contacts because of pink eye 7 years ago. fucked everything up. even when i used new contacts it came right back.
