5 weeks in and my shoulder is hurt

Two Thursdays ago I was warming up on dumb bell shoulder presses and my shoulder started hurting. I wasn't going heavy nor was my form bad, it just started out of no where. This previous monday I was doing barbell flat with 135 to see if the pain had gone away and it hadn't. I got up to 275 and it just felt like I had absolutely no control over the bar and it hurt like hell when I touched the bar to my chest. The pain was not there when I did incline and actually my incline went up 20 pounds from last week. I then went to incline flies and the pain came back. That was monday so I decided to lay off for the week and hopefully stay away from a training ending injury. Today on my bench at home I once again pit on 135 and it is still there. Any advice? I am really pissed cause my strength was starting to go through the roof. I know it's not the joint so please don't recommend glucosamine or anything. Thanks for any help.

Bobber. . .on the training forum?

Good to see you here. . .BTW where exactly is the pain in the shoulder and is it sharp, dull, or have a torn or pulled feeling?

Give us the specifics.

Yeah I get over here every blue moon. The pain is right inbetween the pec and front delt. It is sharp as hell but it doesn't feel like I pulled anything. If it was just pain I might be able to deal with it but like I said it makes me feel like I have no control over the bar.

What kind of rotator cuff work are you doing???

I don't believe I have a rotator cuff work out. What does injuring that feel like?

The main thing that I would do...is do something for them 4x per week. On your upper body days I would warm them up then train them a little hard at the end of the workout... On lower body days I would just do the warm ups.

When you flat bench, are your elbows out wide? Where does the bar come down?

I'll try to video some rotator cuff work that I do and post it for you...it may be late Monday night or Tuesday actually...

If email or phone would help better...please let me know.

Thanks bro, if you htink that is the problem it would be GREATLY appreciated, just pm me and let me know what thread you put it in...I am sure everyone can benefit from it. On bench I grip the bar a few inches out past my shoulders always keeping my elbows out and touching the bar to just below my pecs.
