would it be distracting to workout w/ your boyfriend??

Everyone here is speaking on there own opinion. You will not find proof suggesting men or women have higher pain thresholds because pain threshold is a mental thing.

Take, for example, the monks during Vietnam who burned themselves alive while in meditation. THAT is true mind control over body.

That's a seriously good point, bro. It does differ from individual to individual. I know I've met some seriously freaky girls who would put many men to shame, but I still maintain that men, if only out of "machoness" will win in a pain game. Call me a sexist, pig, bastard, but I think it's the truth.

Oh yeah, where's that scientific proof at that you promised me dude?(Not directed at you, Leviathan. I'm talking to gymtime.)

Funny... a few posts back I remember being called ignorant for my point-of-view. Now, with some scientific evidence backing up that point-of-view who looks ignorant?

Do your homework before you automatically assume I, or anyone else, is speaking simply from a male chauvenist point-of-view.

I still think it's a generalization. All men cannot withstand a higher pain thresh hold than all women. I'm not trying to trash anyone on this board, but I have trained with women who could probably out train and out lift most of the men on this board, myself included, and anyone who has seen the pic I posted on this board, knows I'm a pretty advanced trainer.
Instead of being bothered by the concept of women like that, it makes me wish my wife was more into training!

When will it end?

This post has gotten away from it's main topic. (I know I was one of the people that got sidetracked) Since this whole "discussion" is based around opinions no one is right. We each believe what we are going to believe and nothing is probably going to change that.

I've never said all women have a higher pain threshold than men. I see chicks in the gym every day that disgrace the beauty and strength of a woman by not even pushing themselves (why even go?). But there are only 2 females in my class and the rest are guys and we work HARDER and we complain a hell of a lot less than the guys. Yeah, my back hurts at the end of the day from carrying a ruck sac and having to lift sandbags, dig with my entrenching tool etc. But I never f*cking complain (only to y'all :) ) But the guys always find a way to sit on their ass. Maybe it's because a lot of them are 19 and are not use to hard work, but they've all been in the Army for atleast a year so they should be use to it by now. Please don't categorize women and I won't categorize men. Deal?

P.S. On the strength subject, I can do more pull ups than 3/4 of the guys in my class :) hahahaha

you go bronzed

i know bg. she can also out squat most men. by the way, most women might have been prissy back in the 50's but times are changing.

Of course it's a generalization. No intelligent, sane person would argue that all men have a higher pain threshold than all women. There will always be exceptions to the rule. There are very few absolutes in life. But that doesn't change the fact that IN GENERAL, men can handle more pain than women can.

Who's talking to you? If this is so irritating, why keep adding posts? You've told everyone to fuck off, called one of these guys gay, and promised to stop responding about eight posts ago. You think you're too cool to keep posting, yet you always come back. Is that how you normally handle people who disagree with you? Proven you wrong? How the hell old are you anyway?
