would it be distracting to workout w/ your boyfriend??

Yes, I do. I appologize. I misread that the first time I read it. As I was going through this thread today I said "Oh, shit I fucked that one up now didn't I!" Oooops. Sorry man.

That there, my friend, is complete bullshit! I don't know a single woman who can take more pain than me. Nor do I know one who can take as much as most or any man. Try an experiment. Get someone to pinch/punch/kick/whatever you and a girl. See who gives up first. Each time, except when the guy is a pussy, the girl will give first. Thus, a lower, not higher, pain tolerance.

Darling, we'll continue this conversation once you have a child. I CAN'T FUCKING STAND IT, when men say this shit. I didnt think childbirth would be that bad and I said I'd probably do it natural, then I had a fucking contraction and that theory went right out the window and I was beggin' for meds. You have no idea how it feels so SHUT THE FUCK UP!

Depends on things

Lots of variables. Changing weights if hes a ton stronger would be rough.
I like my partner to sort of bitch at me to hit another rep, call me a wuss and all, not sure the wife would do that.

Afraid it would cause riffs between us but everyone is different.

Well, first off, we know that I can't have a child, now don't we? So that's kind of a moot or non-provable point. Secondly, didn't you shoot your whole argument in the foot by admitting to taking the meds? So, since men can't have children the only other measure is some other sort of pain, like I said. Why don't you and your hubby go get some knee surgery or something. See who's up and walking first and who's lying around crying for more codeine. Oh yeah, one more thing. "You have no idea how it feels so SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Hey, you don't either. You were all doped up, weren't you? So, how does it feel? Ooops, you don't know! You shut the fuck up!

You are so ignorant. There is a certain time limit you have to wait before you can get an epidural. You cant walk in and say "I just had a contraction may i have the meds now." You have to be dilated to a certain degree and at a certain stage in labor. I experienced "hard labor" where the graph that you are hooked up to pegs off the chart. But you would have no idea about that. I'm pretty sure you don't have any children either. I'm not going to repond to anymore of your comments because your ignorance is overwhelming and I also feel dumber just by reading your posts. Ciao!

P.S are you gay? Yeah I thought so.

I have no doubt that having a child is excruciating, but it is a moot point because we (as men) have nothing to compare it to, nor can we experience it to see if it is really as bad as you describe.

On the other hand, men have fought on the battlefield for centuries in wars. Men have lost their legs, arms, etc. in battle. I would venture to say that that is far more painful than birth.

I'm don't really think I'm being ignorant here.... I'm just being non-PC. No doubt that there are individual women who are tougher than individual men, but I'm speaking on general terms.

That's a good point, Leviathan. The female body is designed to give birth. I'm sure it does hurt a good deal, too. However, no human body, male or female, was designed to have limbs severed or hot lead implanted in vital organs.

I've seen guys handle it good, and I've also seen guys
spend all their time trying to keep other guys from
looking at their girlfriends.

As far as concentrating on the lifting goes, the biggest
challenge would be just the weight differences that you
and him are lifting.

I'm not going to argue with y'all so I'll agree to disagree.

This is by far the stupidest argument I've ever seen on these boards. There is absolutely no documented evidence ANYWHERE that men can take more pain then women, that's just macho bullshit no matter how you look at it. Men are stronger because they have test levels up to 10 times that of a woman, and we all know test is responsible for muscle growth. What does that have to do with pain threshholds? I'm in shock that this simple post ended up filled with such crap!!!
