How come it's socially acceptable for people to act like assholes, be ignorant, rude, have no manners be weird towards others etc. Yet it's not ok for them to get a beating ? If i go to the shop and the checkout guy is rude to me for no reason, why the hell should i have to stand there like a lemon and not do anything about it? It pisses me off because i practice boxing and MMA and would fuck up the average guy on the street without breaking a sweat, yet I'm supposed to just stand there and ignore it when some clown who's parents didn't teach respect to feels the need to talk to me like a piece of shit. I used to be a take no shit kid and i have fucked up more than my fair share of gob-shites and everyone of them acted like a "please don't hit me" pussy when it came time to throw down. I'm not someone who goes looking for trouble and i'm polite to people, i don't give anyone any reason to have a problem with me. And a lot of people these days don't seem to need a reason to act like an ass anyway.
It's even worse when it's some teenager or 20 so year old who's never been in a fight and probably thinks they're tough and that it's doubly ok to dis you because they could prob kick your ass anyway, not realizing that they would quickly get fucked up if they tried anything.
A friend of mine is a cage fighter, he was just about to go out 1 morning when the kid next door deliberately left his bike in front of this guys driveway. So he patiently picked up the bike and moved it to 1 side. All whilst the kid was smirking at him. When the guy went back inside the kid threw a stone at his window. He asked the kid why he did it and the kid said "wasn't me" Then the kids dad came out (big guy who talks very loud and thinks he's tough) Don't swear at my son he said. The guy said i didn't swear at your son. Anyway things escalated. It ended up with this guy fucking up the kids dad. The guy has had to put up with these people dinting his car and being rude to his girl and a bunch of other stuff.
The guy ended up in court and the judge gave him the don't use violence rant. He got a suspended sentence and had to pay compensation. And it was in the local paper "Father of 3 assaulted in unprovoked attack"
Now imagine this scenario. These 2 guys be it the mma and either the kid or the kids dad, go for a job at the same place. The mma guy doesn't get the job because he has "assault" on his record yet the scumbag kid or his dad gets the job and the company owner and said scumbag(s) get to talk about how they're better than people who have a criminal record.
There was another case in my town where a guy who had a violent past, was confronted in his own home by some new guy who just moved in and wanted to impress his girlfriend. Went into this guys house and tried to attack him, it ended up out on the street they were both fighting for about 10 minutes. The known violence guy didn't give a fuck and was smashing concrete slabs and all-sorts over this "hero's" head. Needless to say the "hero" got well and truly fucked up and rightly so. But that didn't stop the papers calling him a violent thug and him getting 2 years in prison for standing up for himself.
What's wrong with the world. Being disrespectful to someone is just as bad as using violence towards them imo.
