Why do you have problems with weight?

Just curious, for the people who seem to have trouble losing weight or keeping it off, why do you struggle with your diet?

I know a lot of people have a hard time trying to stop drinking on the weekends. And I know time is another big issue.

But I've always wondered why it's so hard for most people to eat right. Is it because the food tastes bad? Or you just don't know what's healthy? Or do you have a McDonalds addiction?

It'd be fairly interesting to hear some personal stories.

You make a very good point. My brother's playing D2 college football and wants to put weight on. I had the hardest time trying to make him a clean diet. You know, high levels of protien take up a lot of calories when you're trying to cut, but when you bulk, they just aren't enough.

Some people just have a really sluggish metabolism. And yeah there are a lot of things that you can do to help speed it up, but it still takes a lot of time. I have a buddy who just stops eating cookies and chips and his six pack comes right back in a matter of months. Because even when he eats like shit, his body never lets him get much over 14%.

I try to stay lean, for me the biggest issue is just that I am lazy and I dont keep an acurate log of daily calorie intake even though I eat clean.

I just like food way too much, wish I was more comfortable with getting pudgy then it would be so easy for me to run an awesome bulking diet since I have no problem eating clean,I actually enjoy clean food.

Really low natural metabolism and testosterone levels. Unfortunately it's not so low that my doctor needs to prescribe anything. If i don't work out like a nut and really watch my diet I WILL gain weight. Putting on some muscle has helped, and once i finish cutting down I'm gonna really work on getting really strong. I'm hoping this will allow me to eat normally and not get fat.
