Why do I get cravings for hotdogs...

I've been dieting for almost 2 weeks now and I'm getting cravings for food that I don't really like. I want fucking hotdogs, Cheese sticks and greasy fries!!! :(

I don't even like this type of food.

Here's my diet btw:

Meal 1: Shake: 8oz of skim milk, scoop of dry oatmeal, 2 scoops of whey

Meal2: 2 chicken breasts, 2 slices of ww bread

Meal3(Pre-workout): 1 tablespoon of Raw honey, 1 scoop of whey

Meal4(Post-Workout): Powerade, 1 scoop of whey

Meal5: Milk/Egg protein powder, scoop of oatmeal

Meal6: 1 can of tuna, 1 cup of black beans, 1 tablespoon of Olive oil

Meal 7: Half a container of cottage cheese.

200g of carbs, 290g of protein, 50g of fat.

On non weight lifting days, I cut about 50g of carbs and do 45mins of cardio on an empty stomach in the morning.

Bro I did the exact same thing the other night. It was around 1:30am Saturday and I had this unbearable craving for hotdogs. I broke down and went up to 7-11 and bought a pack of them. Trust me it's not worth it. My stomach was fucked up the whole next day b/c of it

ok seriously.. your diet is obviously too low in fat.. as that's what you're craving..

your body knows what you need and what you need to eat to get it.. you need protein.. you crave meat.. etc etc..

i'd say try upping your fat intake a little at a time.. until the cravings reside..

Are you a chick? Sometimes they crave hotdogs and they usually call me. lol :D J/K A few months ago, I got on this corndog kick. I was going through a 20 pack a week. It took me about 3 boxes / 3 weeks to get it out of my system. :)

That's what I've been doing for the last few days, I'll eat a few almonds or cashews with a can of diet coke. It has helped a little.

Week 4 of my diet, I plan on lowering carbs to 120-150g a day and adding a tablespoon of flax.

It just interesting that I crave foods that I don't like or ever eat.

Yeah, you need more fat in you diet. I've had the same issue recently. Last night I ate a whole container of those mixed nuts from Planters. I added up the fat content afterwords. 160 grams

Cheat meals not days for me. I had one yesterday where I had 100g of carbs. I usually replace a clean meal with a cheat meal every 12-16 days.

I think that cheat meals should be mostly "carb-up's". It's psychologically beneficial. My muscles are flat on a diet and when I eat lots of carbs, I wake up the next day with fuller and thicker muscles and about 3 lbs of water weight. I can really tell how much fat I'm losing when I do this.

To keep me sane, I prepare all my meals in advance (except morning shake). There's nothing worse than having to thaw, and cook chicken breasts when I could easy stuff myself with cookies.

I also eat almonds and I make it part of my diet.

Man I Hear You.....Every Sat I hit the wagon for 6 with kraut and mustard..........The sodium kills me but its my cheat food......Nothing beats a good Dirty Watert Dog..........

A tube steak fettish huh ?........this is serious !

But like everyone is saying, your body is craving the missing fats it is used to having. Are you dieting for a show or just leaning up ?
If not for a show, take Delinquent`s advice and have a cheat day. Helps with the cravings and gives you something to look forward to.

Ball Park makes great fat free hot dogs. Toss em on the Forman and you can't tell the difference. 5grams of carbs and 6grams of protein.

No, I don't compete, but every couple of years I go on a precontest-like diet for "fun". My goal is to look absolutely amazing by March 10.

Dieting is suppose to be hard isn't it? If I don't suffer, I feel like I'm cheating myself.

Fat free hot dogs? How is that possible? Do they use some kind of fat substitute? There's a lot of junk that we don't get in Canada. (thank god)
