I am at my parent's for a couple of day. They are in California between the Bay Area and Sacramento. They don't have ESPN so I am watching the play by play of the Charger's game online.

Husband is playing video games with his son.

I have finally completed a mutha fuggin' marathon of typing (whee, I don't have to transcribe shit until Thursday). Hubby's presents are wrapped, I have to wrap a couple of gifts tomorrow, but for now I have drink in hand and "A Christmas Story" is on the t.v. And I'm spending this lovely Christmas Eve with you good people until my husband decides to come and find me :qt:

Same here...came home from my GF's parents because I'm still sick...I started geting sick the sat. BEFORE last sat. and I still feel like ass.

i feel the same way. I love people, women especially, love sex, the company, the companionship, but in a serious relationship I always feel a bit suffocated, less free.

I've been in a relationship the last couple months, and I understand the part about feeling less free. For once I finally understand it. Now I'm starting to realize that being single isn't so bad after all.

True. At the same time, I don't feel like me and her are going to last. That's not something I can just easily tell her though, I don't want to stop everything dead in its tracks.

most people have been there man, its very difficult to deal with any everyone seems to come up with whatever works best for them.

over the years ive learned to start things off slow, shit that comes together too quickly or intensely usually loses its steam early on. Who knows though, Im 30 and single so don't go taking relationship advice from me!

Glad your hanukah was good. My old roomie is jewish. I had no family here and would go see family at thanksgiving, so he and I would always go catch a movie or two on xmas or xmas eve.

Once we went to this jewish "function" on xmas eve. They rented out a club downtown for the night and we went with a female co-worker of his (not jewish) who was totally hot for me. We ended up hooking up and dated for 3 or 4 months. Anyway, the function was fun.

we did move rather quick. after 3 dates we pretty much became exclusive. I didn't think of it as exclusive at first, but after awhile I realized that i hadnt been dating anyone else, because we both respected each other too much to be dating other people. It sorta snuck up on me. but she is way more into me than im into her right now, which is awkward. she wants to talk everyday, i dont. she'd hangout all the time with me if i didnt say no some days. i gotta have my own personal time too.
 
if I was jewish i'd celebrate both holidays (many of my jewish friends do).

I'm non religious, very much non religious, but celebrate Christmas as a secular holiday, a time to share joy with friends and family. Christmas was celebrated before Christianity, and will be celebrated after it as well.

they always have singles things on christmas eve--and many were not the geek fests one would expect--

the guys in my office--more impt the partners are golf fanatics--so it's sort of a good thing to do--even though i have never played so it should be interesting--
 
Everything is closed and I am tired of watching TV so I am killing time I suppose until we go out later.

I just didn't have it in me to put up a tree or exchange gifts this year.

Next year will be different.... I have faith.
